Enjoy Agave House, a 2 BR w/2 en suite baths in the shadow of Mt. Wrightson

A 1573 sq ft split bedroom plan home with beautiful mountain views less than 2 miles from the center of Sonoita. The two spacious bedrooms are on opposite ends of the house affording visitors maximum privacy. Both have en suite baths. Master bath has a large claw toed soaking tub as well as full separate shower.

This open concept home has a full kitchen stocked and ready for cooking and eating. The living and dining area is large and inviting with large windows and doors opening to a surround porch with sunrise and sunset views so you can enjoy multiple outdoor living areas in this quiet neighborhood. Located under the shadow of Mt. Wrightson, enjoy the calmness and serenity. Plenty of off road parking is available.

This home is located in the middle of Sonoita and Eligin wine country with many vineyards, two breweries and a mead manufacturer nearby. Several local restaurants are also close by.

The area is known for our wineries and tasting rooms, hunting, ranching and excellent bird watching and dark skies. Amazing hiking opportunities are in the immediate and surrounding area including access to several Arizona Trail Head locations. Close proximity to the Coronado National Forest offers a wide variety of outdoor recreation activities. Patagonia Lake State park is a 30:minute drive, and Parker Canyon Lake is about 45 minutes away.

Sierra Vista is 35 minutes east and provides shopping, dining and movies. The historic towns of Tombstone, Bisbee, and Tubac located nearby are great day excursions to experience the western history that shaped this region and state. The closest border crossing to Mexico is in Nogales which is 40 minutes away. Kartchner Caverns State Park is 35 minutes away. This living cave is an amazing tour for all ages but it requires a reservation.

Well behaved dogs are welcome on the property. The home has a walled courtyard, but outside of courtyard area dogs must be leashed.

The living room has a non operational kiva fireplace. But, we have added a small fire pit in the fireplace that can be used to replicate the flames. The fuel for the fire pit is under the kitchen sink. The main couch I the living room can’t be pulled out to make a queen bed. Linens for it are in the master closet. The property has wireless internet. The television has a fire stick so you can log into you entertainment channels with your account passwords.

We are taking extra precautions when cleaning the property after guest visits. Aside from using cleaning disinfectants, we also run a commercial grade ozone generator between guest visits. We are comfortable that when you arrive the home is clean and sanitized.

Feel free to send an inquiry with additional questions about the house, the surrounding area or any special request you have. We want you to enjoy your visit in this special area of southern Arizona.

Cozy
Lovely property with lots of amenities and cozy extras. Kathryn is a wonderful hostess who responds promptly to guest inquiries. The house provided us with a nice base to return to in the evening and after spending the day exploring the nearby gravel bike routes and participating in the Spirit World 100.

BEST VRBO EVER!
First off, the house itself is gorgeous. But to add beauty to beauty, Kathryn pays attention to details that make a huge difference. She provided headlamps (because the dark-sky nights are gorgeous and dark), a flashlight by each bed, chocolates and Perrier, and a garage door opener so you can park in the garage and protect your rental (or own car) from weather. The place is spotless and scentless and it abounds in silence. Plus, it's close to some fantastic vineyards. We highly, highly recommend Dos Cabezos! Best pizza, best wine. Without a doubt: Stay at Agave House. The land is beautiful. The home is welcoming, well-kept, and gorgeous. Kathryn, the owner, is excellent at providing a perfect home away from home. Thank you!

Perfect in every way
My husband and I decided to check out the Tucson area because we'd never been to that part of Arizona. We booked the Agave House in Sonoita and immediately were given ideas on where to bike and hike in the area. Kathryn was one of the most responsive and helpful hosts we've ever had. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and is spacious, immaculate, comfortable and very well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the sun set behind the mountains in the evenings. The local restaurants, wineries and small businesses that we visited made our time in the area extra special. We will definitely return!

Perfect home away from home
Everything was clean, well thought out, and really the best vacation home we’ve ever stayed in. Loved the garage (lots of rain), the bedrooms and bathrooms. Kitchen was well equipped, open concept to the living room. Washer and dryer a great bonus! Looking forward to revisiting….close to the wineries in Sonoita and Elgin!

We love to stay at the Agave House when visiting Sonoita. It’s very clean, comfortable, with quite a bit of luxury too. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook family meals. The sunsets and starry nights are amazing from the big deck.

Beautiful and very clean home. Pictures don’t do it justice. Everything was amazing! Clean, comfortable, nice touches such as some snacks, coffee pods, shampoo/conditioner, loofa, charcoal for the grill, games and books. Gorgeous views and close to many wineries. Nothing negative at all and I would be sure to stay here again!

Oh...the Stars!
What a great place in Sonoita! Sitting on the deck in the mornings enjoying the Javelina, hawks, hearing wild turkeys. Evenings spent looking at the endless stars, the moon, and the International Space Station fly over. Amazing! House was clean, well stocked, neat and tidy. Nicely decorated and enjoyable. Garage fit our truck if we backed in - which we did. Only "negative" and it's one we coped with - is that the yard is not really a yard. It is gravel, rocks, burrs, and stickery grass. If you have a dog, like we did, you will not want to let your dog go out there as they come back full of burrs on their pads or in their fur. Instead, we walked the road out front which is pleasant in the early, cool mornings and evenings. Recommend1
