"The villa is spectacular as in the pictures. Beautiful outdoor area marred only by the mosquitoes! The pool was clean and despite one heating pump malfunction stayed at a nice 29 degrees throughout. Xisco, the owner, lives in the villa next door and was very quick in every instance when asked for anything or when reporting any problems. In short we had a lovely holiday in beautiful surroundings. We all commented how relaxing and calm it was there but you’re still in a town with facilities that were good with the supermarket and a few restaurants in walking distance."

It was a short walk - 10-15mins - to both beaches, albeit the walks were a little difficult for my parents due to the stairs. Cala Mendia itself is a very quiet resort but it had enough restaurants for our needs. I would recommend the local shops for essentials only as they are very expensive. It was over 90 degrees F and humid during our stay- the bedrooms were upstairs and closer to 95/100 degrees. We could no sleep in the home. Astrid was very helpful when our transfers didn’t show up, helping us to contact trusted taxi services and get us both to and from the resort. "Bordoy hotel was exceptional. The staff were really awesome and they made our stay very comfortable. The food was so good. I was glad I paid for half board. The restaurant was actually a 5 star for me too. I never expected much since it was an hotels restaurant but both the service and food was excellent. "
