"There was a calm, genteel feel to the hotel and grounds, a sense of grandeur past. The staff were helpful and polite. The grounds were lovely and we enjoyed having a leisurely breakfast in the gardens.
It would have been good to have some help taking heavy bags up the stone stairs as there did not seem to be a lift/elevator."

We were met by our host Eric who was very welcoming and explained this wasn’t an issue for him due to the previous guests leaving early that morning. "The reception tried her best to fulfill my request and was friendly. I forgot to put the sign of do not disturb so the housekeeper did a good job cleaning. I thought it would have been cleaned only when i put the sign to ask for housekeeping. The ventilation of other rooms seemed no working so I smell when the neighbors were cooking.
To sum up, a good value for a business traveler who cares about budget."

"A nice budget hotel. It’s simple but clean. Air conditioning worked well and shower was lovely. Unfortunately the key card stopped working a couple of times during the visit, so I wouldn’t stay again in case this happened overnight when the hotel is unstaffed. But for one night it is great. "

"Modern and welcoming co-living condo/hotel building with parking basement. Rooms are very functional, modern, with mini-kitchen. Location is just outside of the city center, about 15 minutes walk to the busy Old Town. The suburb is very quiet and devoid of people, and contrasts greatly with the buzz of café crowds only 15 minutes away. "

"A friend and I travelled to Montpellier, from Vancouver, Canada, and our initial accommodations were not as expected. In a scramble we had to find a suitable hotel and we found the Belaroia. Upon arrival we were greeted by Ladissi at the check in desk. She was kind and welcoming. Throughout our 4 day stay she was always incredibly thoughtful - offering us an umbrella on a rainy day, writing out a detailed list of the most noteworthy restaurants nearby by as well as calling a beach club in Sete to book our reservation, in French!
