Davis Square

Vibrant with commercial, retail, and dining options, this district offers diverse shopping, restaurants, and the Somerville Theatre for movies and live performances. Easily accessible via the Red Line and Somerville Community Path, it's perfect for exploring on foot or bike.

Davis Square
The best savory baked goods, good soup, strong coffee. The feta tomato squares are unique and delicious. Local artists featured on the walls.

Ward Two

If you're spending some time in Ward Two, Wine & Cheese Cask and Artisans Asylum are top sights worth seeing.

Ward Two
Duck tater tots!

Prospect Hill

Well-liked for its coffeehouses and shopping, Prospect Hill is worth a visit. Check out the variety of things to see and do like Prospect Hill Park and Prospect Hill Monument, and jump on the metro at Gilman Square Station to get around the city.

Prospect Hill
Buddy’s Diner, one of my favorite local spots to eat. Come early on a weekend morning, this tiny diner car fills up fast and only stays open through lunch! A really great old school friendly, local vibe!

East Somerville

Home to Mudflat arts center and the East Branch Library, East Somerville boasts a lively business corridor on Broadway with diverse restaurants and boutiques. Easily accessible via the Green Line Extension and multiple bus lines.

East Somerville
Abandoned train cars on the tracks under I-93 between Community and Sullivan Stations on the Orange line. You may recognize them from 'The Town'! Bit of a creepy walk to get to them.

Inner Belt

3.5/5(45 area reviews)

Even though there aren't top sights in Inner Belt, you can explore the larger area and take in top sights like TD Garden. Jump on the metro at East Somerville Station to see more of the city.

We stayed in Somerville because it was cheaper than staying in the city of Boston- which is where we needed to get to everyday. The trip to Boston was about 20 mins and very scenic! Somerville had many great restaurant choices.
