LOG Cabin, 5 miles from town, but very country setting

This cute log cabin was built by my grandparents about 35 years ago. The cabin is a little over 5 miles from downtown Somerset, and about 30 minutes from the lake. Play golf up the road at Eagle's Nest Country Club if you don't want to go to the lake, or play a round before the monthly car show. The road is a residential road, with little traffic. Area is very quite, and gets dark, but night time is a great for a time to gather around the fire pit in the back yard. There is enough room in the front to park several cars, and enough room to park the boat when you pull it out of the water.

House also has a pack-n-play in the master closet.

House includes a charcoal grill. Fire wood for the fire pit can be purchased locally if there is none in the back yard.

The master bedroom has a queen bed with ample room, sleeps 2, as well as a futon, sleeping 2.
The second bedroom has a bunk bed with a twin on top and a full on the bottom, sleeping 3.

Laundry facilities are also in the bathroom.

House does have internet, as well as a roku with YouTube TV in the livingroom. As well as a firestick with YouTubeTV in the master bedroom.

No smoking is allowed in the house. However, there is an ash tray provided on the front and back porch.

Quiet and peaceful
This cabin is located in such a peaceful setting. I think we counted about 10 cars that drove by in the 4 days we were there. The cabin was cute and cozy.

Sweet Stay at Grandmas Peace
We really enjoyed our stay this past weekend. We hauled a vehicle for the cruise in and had plenty of room for the truck and trailer. Our ONLY negative was that the carpet was a bit worn in places, but the place was so clean and comfortable. Thanks for a great stay!

Such a great little cozy cabin. It has all the necessities needed for a comfortable stay without all the high end items (especially with younger kiddos). This is the second time we have stayed and would love to come back again.

PROS: Full of character & charm. The property is exactly as listed. Great value for families. Well equipped with all the amenities for a stay with families. CONS: Furnishings are dated & well used, carpet very stained & well worn (I’m sure it’s clean but because the carpent is so worn and has several stains, it feels dirty,)

Easy to get to town. Was disappointed in the paranormal museum. Was more like a big foot museum. Cute old downtown area. Beautiful area for summertime with lots of trees and trails not as much to do in the spring. Overall a nice relaxing place to stay.

Nice cabin
It was a nice cabin overall. The carpet was torn in some places as well as worn and well used, and some other cosmetic issues, but it did not detract from my enjoying myself in the peace and quiet. I did sit outside for some time and took it easy on the wooden bench, it was nice watching the wildlife.

Another very pleasant escape to this cozy cabin
This is the second time we stayed at this warm and welcoming log cabin, and we will definitely return. It is so quiet and peaceful. I always sleep great when I'm here. Aaron is an excellent host and does everything he can to make us feel welcome. I highly recommend this gem in the heart of the Lake Cumberland area!

I can't rave enough how amazing our stay was. Perfect location. Just far enough to not hear traffic and feel secluded in nature but close enough for all the conveniences of town. Everything was perfect. We will definitely be staying again on our next trip to Kentucky. ❤️ Thank you Aaron for letting us stay at Grandma's Peace. We absolutely loved the cabin.
