Private and peaceful cottage overlooking the mountains in Soller

In a peaceful area between Soller and Fornalutx you will find this wonderful comfortable cottage with a citrus plantation all around. The house offers peace and privacy, no neighbors. The house has a double bedroom with a comfortable king size bed and bathroom on suite. There is a fully equipped kitchen, toilette with shower and nice living room with a dining area, sofa bed and fireplace. Outside there is a lovely garden with flowers, a charming spacious terrace with stunning views of the mountains and even a covered terrace with dining furniture.
The house has private parking space and a large natural pond (12 meters X 7 meters wide and 3 meters deep). We use it to water the orange and lemon trees in the finca. We do not use chemicals in the water, which is changed weekly, and we have some color Koi fishes.
Feel free to pick up fruits from the trees in the finca and explore the land, including a little private pine forest and the citrus orchard.

An absolute gem of a property
This property exceeded our expectations - as advised, we hired a smaller car which is essential as it is a tight entrance and steep driveway, but no issues at all. Walkable to Sóller and Fornalutx (hilly, but only to be expected around Soller). Contact with Mats to arrange access was simple, and he was very helpful on arrival. Would recommend this in a heartbeat - one of the nicest properties we have stayed in and loved sitting on the terrace in the evening watching the changing colours in the valley below.

Amazing House in Perfect Situation
This is such a lovely house, tucked away from view from any roads, but beautiful views across the valley and to Soller. Perfect as a base for hiking as well as just sitting and watching the view and enjoying the peace and tranquility that the house and gardens provide. Enjoy!

Lovely views!
We're from Seattle, and never having traveled to Spain before, we were a little apprehensive about the booking arrangements since it was a little different than what we've experienced before through VRBO, and because there were so few reviews. We needn't have been. The folks at Majorca Born Properties were responsive and helpful every step of the way, including showing us the way to the cottage and even helping us print boarding passes the day before we left. We spent the majority of our five nights/four days sitting on the patio admiring the views, including a fantastic lightning display the first evening we arrived. The patio is a perfect mix of sun and shade, so it's easy to spend the whole day there watching (and listening) to life in the beautiful valley. The kitchen is well-stocked and we ended up cooking four nights out of five just to have more time admiring the views. The walking is good from the property, and we enjoyed jaunts to Port de Soller, Valdemossa and Deia in our rental car. (It's true that the driveway is very steep, good insurance for your rental car is a must. That said, we had no problem at all with our small car). It's a quiet, beautiful spot and I would happily stay here all year just to see the seasons change. A special thanks to the owner, whom we met briefly, for taking such good care of the landscaping. Highly recommend!

Enchanting retreat for two.
Comfortable, well equipped, immaculately clean, beautiful views, good choice of outdoor seating areas. We enjoyed the 30 minute walk along the walking path to Fornalutx where we found the restaurants were better than in Soller; torch required for the way home. There were lots of local walks that did not require the car, which was just as well as the driveway was every bit as scary as described. One small, unfortunate downside was the building site next door which started at 06.00 every morning, although it usually finished by the time we were sitting outside with a drink in the evening.

Lovely setting - perfect view and very well equipped house. The only down side was the bed which was that comfortable for two people (not firm enough mattress)

Beautiful finca style house in secluded grounds with amazing views.
This is a golden opportunity to get away from it all. Midway between Sóller and a fornalutx and just off the GR221 we abandoned the idea of a car and loved coming and going on foot to our hillside hideaway. The cottage is very well equipped and we had many a meal on the terrace looking out on the twinkling lights of soller below. All fittings and furnishing were extremely comfortable and we enjoyed the log burner. We had wonderful weather (not bad for November) so ate all meals outside and enjoyed lounging on the terrace which was in sun most of the day. The trek up to fornalutx was approx 30 minutes and very manageable along the path day and night (head torches came in handy) so we ate out in Ca N’Antuna enjoying lovely home cooked food with the views from their terrace. Likewise we walked in to Soller and had some lovely meals in the town - Ca’n Boqueta and Ca’n Pinxto both bring favourites. We loved this house and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

The perfect cottage
The cottage is everything it says in the details and more! If anything the beauty is understated - the location is perfect and the views stunning! The cottage is spotlessly clean and there is everything you will need for your stay - in fact we could have happily spent the whole week there - although the walks to Fornalutx and Soller cannot be missed. And if something goes wrong? - the owners could not be more helpful. We 'enjoyed' a thunderstorm on the Sunday afternoon and the electrics failed. Within 15 mins help arrived, an electrician was summoned and all power restored within an hour (at 18.30 on a Sunday afternoon we were so imoressed!) Just one word of advice regarding access to the property - the road is narrow and the driveway a little steep so a smaller car is advisable. This was our second stay in the cottage - it will not be our last.

Perfect vacation, spectacular views.
We recently spent a week at this wonderful Villa Can Bac. We were expecting a lot after reading the description and booking the villa, but this property really exceeded our expectations! The villa is beautiful both inside and out, and the view is spectacular! It is difficult to get a sense of how wonderful it is just from the website. The steep and twisting one lane road takes you high above the valley floor to a very peaceful location, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. The house is very comfortable, with a well appointed kitchen in which we cooked our own dinners most of the days we were here. The fireplace was a nice feature, but we did not need it as the weather was hot during our stay. Our group of friends has toured Mallorca before, including Soller, so we spent most of our time this year at the villa and other properties in the area, just relaxing and cooking and enjoying good wine. Matias was great to work with, and he made sure we had all the information we needed before our arrival, and Biel made sure everything went smoothly during our stay. We definitely recommend Can Bac and we hope we are fortunate enough to visit here again in the future.

Wonderful views yet almost total seclusion!
We absolutely loved our stay at this wonderfully located finca. Firstly, we were really impressed with making the booking, having questions answered, meeting a representative and being welcomed at the house. We booked it largely because of it's position, between Soller and Fornalutz but also the views. Well, we were not disappointed - the view is absolutely stunning - a full panorama of Soller's old town and the striking Tremulata Mountains, stunning. This view knocked me sideways each time I stepped outside, we had all our meals out there and made use of the BBQ (beware - wasps seem to like hiding in there!) as much as we could. The house itself is fairy basic, quite colourful and designed (obviously) to retain the cool air. Kitchen is well equipped and we are one chef and a very keen cook so there was nothing we missed. Only one bedroom but a bathroom and a shower room so plenty of space to spread out, it's perfect for a couple. TV all German/Austrian so no good for us but it wasn't a deal breaker. A great huge terrace taking in the view with a few sun beds and several chairs and tables. There is a natural pond and after being a bit unsure about the deep green water - we took the plunge on a particularly hot day and that was it - we were in there every day, it was really refreshing! We really enjoyed walking to the small village of Fornalutz via the old rocky path through endless groves and woods. It runs from directly below the property which is handy and takes about 20 minutes. It's not a flat path but that's half the fun - you're made to work for your cold beer or Paella! It's a very picturesque way to arrive in the pretty village. Plenty of grocers/deli's/butchers/ bakeries and a Municipal Market in Soller town and a well stocked general store in F'lutz main square so we had a wide choice of places to buy supplies. Can't recommend the Mallorcan Wine and cheese enough - most of what we ate was locally produced and it was all really impressive. Only thing I would mention but I believe it's in the property details - I wouldn't recommend for small children or very elderly or if you are not very good at driving very sharp and narrow bends - the drive up to the house is extremely narrow! So I wouldn't recommend hiring a fancy or large car!! We picked abundant fruit from the trees which was incredibly idyllic, lemons, oranges, plums - all delicious. We will most certainly be coming back as soon as we can!!

Wonderful place
We are a family of two adults and two children (11 and 8) and we really enjoyed our stay. It is every bit as beautiful, peaceful and private as the pictures, the property is very well maintained and fitted out and you can explore the surrounding terraces. The views and the walks are so tempting that we set out on the path to Fornalutx (easy walk through citrus groves) and also to Biniarix and on the Barranc trail. We also managed a coastal walk from the port and swims in Deia and Port de Soller as well as the property pool. It was always wonderful to get back to the property and see the wildlife, birds, lizards and the sheep and the log fire was welcome and cosy on a cooler night.

Perfect holiday
We were received with a fruit bag and a bottle of local white wine from the owner. The rental manager met us in Soller and came with us to the house, showing us everything and explaining us about the finca, even how they collect the olives or the lemons. Unfortunately we didn't have oranges (only in the winter) but Biel showed us the lemons, apples and some more fruit trees. Inside, all in a fantastic condition and as described. Spotless clean, we really enjoyed the living room, we wanted to use the fireplace but was still not cold enough at the beginning of October. The kitchen is very well equipped, and we loved the attention to the detail in the house, very nicely decorated and furnished. We had a small problem with the TV (we couldn't get international channels, only the spanish tv) but Biel and Marga (the owner) came very quickly to show us how to do it. We only swam one day in the pond, because the water was cold, but I believe in a sunny day has to be a perfect choice after a hiking day. By the way, the hiking in the surrounding areas is amazing. We went to Barranc and the views are simply stunning. Also, we walked from Soller to Sa Calobra (another fantastic but long excursion) or to Deia (the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen). But the best thing of this house is not the house itself or the surroundings, it's the view. Wake up every morning and take your coffee with the famous local "ensaimada" on the sunny terrace looking at the valley has no price! Thank you so much for letting us to stay in your marvelous house!
