"A ten minute stroll along a pleasant street takes you to the bridge. Cross it and you are at the foot of the delightful town of Blois. There are two small supermarkets on the street, and lovely walks along the river so east to spend days without driving anywhere. Also many, many beautiful towns and chateaux to visit within an hour's drive. The cottage is well-equipped and very comfortable. We would not hesitate to recommend."

Door Vrbo was meermalen beloofd dat bedlinnen en handdoeken inclusief waren, deze waren bij aankomst toch niet aanwezig. De communicatie met Vrbo en met de host was slecht, de host was niet aanwezig (maar zelf in Parijs). De vervanger van de host op locatie (vrienden van?) spraken alleen Frans, geen Engels. "Insgesamt in Ordnung. Allerdings: das Bett war ein Klappsofa mit einer Matratze, die ihre guten Tage schon länger hinter sich hat. Die muss unbedingt erneuert werden, hatte ziemlich Rückenschmerzen, das Bettgestänge kam durch die Matratze durch. Auch ist das Gebäude sehr hellhörig. Ohne ohrstöpsel und zusätzliche Decken zwischen Bett und Matratze hätte ich das nicht durchgehalten. Ach ja, WLAN gab es auch nicht, auch nach Nachfrage…Desolee…"

"Location was great, walkable to all Blois attractions and city center, 3rd floor walk up. The apartment didn't seem clean, stained fabric and rug, mildewy shower, dirty sponges. The amenities were lacking - no clean sponges, paper towels, napkins, 1 dishwasher tab, empty hand soap containers. The apartment had a strange cooking smell, and air freshener bottles were empty, I bought a candle which I did not light, but it helped. The home was set for 4 people to occupy with 1 bath towel and 1...

"An amazing stay at a wonderful chateau. The apartment was decorated beautifully and tastefully in keeping with the chateau, which is a magnificent building in a wonderful setting. The hosts were so very very helpful, showing us around, helping with our luggage and even returning to show us how to use a couple of items we couldn’t work out. The apartment was quiet and comfortable with all the modern conveniences needed. One of the best stays in France we have experienced."
