Very Good

The property was very outdated and in need of renovation and investment. Food very expensive and limited. Poor choice at breakfast. Shower didn’t work properly and no hairdryer, although listed. The bed had a stain. Outside area was untidy and needed some investment. Staff were helpful. Avoid if you can.

There are better choices in the area
The hotel was less than we expected, clean, service was good, but in need of an extensive renovation. The elevator was not working for quite some time.
Breakfast was terrible, very little choice and items were not replenished. They offered us dinner buffet but when we went to look at it we decided to go somewhere else.
Our room was very clean and had a nice view. There was no elevator so we had to carry our luggage to the second floor which was ok. The breakfast was good in the beginning however it became limited after a huge group of travelers came in for breakfast as the staff didn't hurry to restock on time.
Our room is very spacious and great view at Sognefjord from the hotel room window. It’s also easy to walk to have a closer look at Sognefjord. Very pretty and tranquil

The hotel is in a quiet village right at the Sognefjord and offers beautiful views. But when the sun is out - I know, it’s not too often in Norway - it heats up quickly. The rooms are getting hot and it’s difficult to sleep. You need a car or be part of a tour group to do anything. Tours offered on the hotel’s website were not being held at the time of our visit.
I just have to mention an exceptional individual Charlotte Borlaug who gave us the best possible experience. Despite the unexpected early arrival of 2 bus groups combined with a birthday party, she managed to find us a table and magic an amazing evening meal with grace and made us feel very special guests. Charlotte Borlaug managed to repeat the exceptional service in the morning, one wonders if she ever sleeps, truly an exceptional manager.
Das Hotel ist leider schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Zimmer war recht groß,wobei das Hotelgebäude von außen kein einladenden Eindruck machte. Die direkte Lage am Songjefjord ist als gut zu bewerten.
