"I stayed here for Ironman Kalmar and cannot recommend it enough. I changed my travel plans last minute to arrive a day early and stay in a different local hotel. I asked if early check-in would be possible as I had to vacate the first place by 11am, and the receptionist was so friendly and helpful in putting a note on my reservation, and then letting me know the next morning I could check in before 11 because a room was ready. The breakfast was phenomenal. They opened up at 4am on race morning and had everything I thought I needed plus more. (Fruit smoothie, ginger juice shot with chili, pancakes with real maple syrup, so many different breads, meats, cheese, fruit, salads etc. in addition to your typical breakfast.) Finally, checkout the day after the race was delayed 2 hours, which I've never experienced at any other race, but which would've been much appreciated had I not opted to stay an extra day (specifically to avoid having to pack up and be out by 10:30am)."

"Lovely welcoming staff at a quaint and quiet property. The room was nicely laid out and provided everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and we had some great sleeps. The room was upstairs and was warm but the area was quiet and safe so the windows could be left open for air circulation. Our room apparently had some plumbing issues before our arrival so it did smell of sewage when we checked in. This largely went away but there were was the occasional waft. Keeping the bathroom door closed helped. We enjoyed more than one meal and drink in the restaurant. Everything we ordered was excellent. A wonderful breakfast was served each morning with lots of options. We loved the beautiful courtyard seating. The location is close to Kalmar Central Station but in a lovely park-like neighbourhood. We would not hesitate to stay here again."

"These were hands down the most comfortable beds and pillows we've experienced on this trip to Europe, and the trip included stays at three Hiltons and several other Hilton properties. Breakfast at FH Witt is also slightly better than at some/most Euro Hiltons. Not way better, good variety but exceptional quality. Room service was amazing. Dozens of good-quality restaurants within 5 blocks. Parking is extremely easy, we parked right in front of the entrance for a few euros every evening. Drawbacks: No air conditioning, room gets hot even with windows open when it's 23 °C outside. Shower spews water everywhere in the bathroom. Towels are small and few. There is no restaurant for lunch or dinner within the hotel, although they'll gladly pour you a beer or several. In all, lacking a Hilton property in Kalmar, this is as close as it gets with the only material downgrade being lack of air conditioning! Airline crews flying into/out of KLR stay here. So... it's good."

"We had an amazing stay! Beautiful hotel location on the water! Not much to do for kids and we came as a family stay. The spa/pool is definitely on the spa side and less kid friendly. This is the perfect place to go for a romantic getaway! Love that so many walk around in robs to go to spa and relax. Wish we went for that so never ended up using the spa/pool. Will give us another reason to go this time without kids! Haha! Staff was Amazing! So friendly! Love the charm of the hotel too! We had a great stay!"
