Sure to be a Summer Highlight for your family!! Hitch up the boat, grab a fishing pole and enjoy an unforgettable stay at our beautiful 3000 sq ft home located on the banks BLACKFOOT RESERVOIR. Your stay will include a PRIVATE DOCK to swim around or to park your motorized boat (or jet skis) and enjoy full access to a sparsely populated 28 square mile lake. A canoe, SUP, paddle boat, and a few life jackets are all included!

Two public boat ramps are located in the nearby campground to launch from. (Can not launch from house)

Property includes a large deck over water, dock, fire pit area next to lake, a gas grill, covered deck, fenced yard in back to keep youngsters safe, & (for $25/ night) 2 RV Spots with FULL HOOKUPS (water, sewer, & power).

You will enjoy Starlink WIFI, 2 gas fireplaces, 3 large screen TVs (Netflix, Amazon Prime, & Disney Plus), pillow top beds, a large bathtub and walk-in shower, 2 window seats, a fully stocked kitchen (gas range, microwave, dishwasher), washer/dryer, soft water, walk-in closet, 2 sets of french doors leading to deck, a coffee maker, instant pot, outdoor refrigerator, patio furniture, and so much more!

“Caribou Lake House" is located just 38 miles from LAVA HOT SPRINGS and 15 miles from Soda Springs. You’ll find reasonably priced grocery stores, restaurants, an outdoor drive-in movie theater & a traditional movie theater, bowling alley, shave ice, the famous Soda Springs geyser, many wonderful parks (including one with a carbonated spring!), a beautiful golf course, etc...

Truthfully once you arrive at this lake house, you will never want to leave. This stunning lake is never crowded and relatively warm for swimming and playing during the late summer months. Blackfoot Res also has some of the best fishing in Idaho! Also water recreating (jet skiing, water skiing, and water sports) are happening ALL summer long.

While you are out enjoying the lake, be sure to check out “Bird Island” and the hundreds of segregated black & white birds that call this unique, barren island their home. A 20-minute BOAT RIDE to the town of Henry for ice cream or dinner is another activity that is sure to delight the family!

The home itself is tucked into a quiet little community between Dike Lake and Blackfoot Reservoir, with stunning views of China Cap Mountain. As you explore this little community of homes and cabins, you will likely come across a moose as they are plentiful.

The original "A-Frame" was built in the 1960's but has since been remodeled with knotty alder cabinets, new countertops, as well as flooring. The addition was custom designed in 2009 and provides all of the comforts of home.

Winter time is uniquely beautiful and perfect for ice fishing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, ice skating, or just sitting around the fire playing games and drinking hot cocoa.

Pleasant Stay. A bit late in the year for the water.
Very enjoyable stay. House is nice and comfortable. In late August the water levels are low and there is a fair amount of algae in the water so you can't really swim in front of the house. We were barely able to keep our boat at the docks. Also windy this time of year.

Our family of 5 found your rental home clean, comfortable and well equipped. Cooking and cleanup was easy as your kitchen had everything we needed. The bedroom with the kids beds was too hot even with the AC, but the sofa bed was comfortable and plenty of bedding and blankets are provided. One suggestion would be to have a smaller sauce pan in the kitchen. Thank you for your lovely home. We will definitely book again if we come to the area in the future.

Lake House
Lovely, fully equipped home on the lake. We came to unplug for a week and it was great. Stocked with all the equipment you need. The only downfall was the paddle board was missing plugs so we were unable to use that. And the lack of air conditioning for the kids room upstairs made for a couple of hot nights. But overall it was a great stay. Great communication with the owners. Easy to access and find. Comfortable beds.

Wonderful!
We loved our time at this property! The house was very nice and cozy and had a large family room area to play games and watch movies. The lake being right on-site was so fun! We fished off the dock each day for hours, used the paddle board, paddle boat and our own boat and wave runner too. The view from the deck is so beautiful and also from the upstairs window nooks where we were able to watch the sunrise in the mornings. Dinners were great with being able to grill outside and the fire pit was excellent too. I would recommend this property for any ages as we ranged from toddlers to grandparents and it was perfect for everyone.

My family had the best time here! We absolutely loved the fun water toys and relaxing on the comfortable furniture! My kids had the best time with the toys and puzzles and I loved all the space throughout to really settle in and relax. The pictures are accurate, but also don’t do the experience justice! We loved eating out on the covered porch and staring at the beautiful view. The only complaint worth being aware of is that there is no A/C. Not a huge issue as it did cool down through the night, but still something to be aware of! Overall we loved our trip here and would definitely recommend.

As beautiful and functional as described
This lake house was better than we expected, and we already had high expectations. The house is as pictured, and has a quirky layout as it is an older house with a new house attached. Things not pictured: Almost everything we could need in a kitchen was already there. Recommend bringing firewood for the firepit, which must complete at 10:30 for quiet hours. The porch is really spectacular, in the shade before noon, with a view that is not pictured - not just of the reservoir/inlet but beyond up the mountain/hill of a horse and cattle ranch, which meant constantly changing scenery. The old-school table-video-game system was a blast for me to try out with the kids. There is lots of bedding in the main master bedroom closet. The kayak is only for a very small person. The canoe and stand-up-paddleboard are high quality. There are cranes, beaver, large fish and even moose in the water nearby - yes, I said we saw a moose!

A wonderful place for a girl's weekend
The lake house was a wonderful place to stay with friends equipped with plenty of sleeping areas and small boats for fun on the lake. We enjoyed hanging out in multiple spaces talking, crafting, and playing games including on the deck, the living room, and in the sitting area near the kitchen. The hosts were great and answered any questions we had.

A Hidden Gem
My wife and I stayed at this lake house with our 5 kids (ages 4-12). Property was very clean, had a well-stocked kitchen, and plenty of bedding. My kids especially enjoyed boating on the water (5 different watercraft were available for use), fishing, and using the fire pit. If you stay here, definitely try Gonzales mexican restaurant in Soda Springs. Amazing, affordable food. We'd definitely stay at this property again. Felt like a very good value for the price and ammenities. Thanks again Lorie!

Great family getaway
We loved our stay at this vacation home. The home itself was great. Very clean and some cute character. My daughter loved the upstairs bedroom with the string lights and 'ladder like' access. The only thing I would do differently is perhaps book a little earlier in the season. The water was so nice in the inlet, but being Sept it had quite a bit of moss/algae built up. I would book this property again in a heartbeat though. The owners were great and we're very easy to coordinate with. Thank you for sharing your lakehouse with us!

What a Great Lake house!
We enjoyed our stay so much we can’t wait to go back!! We had 13 people including adults and kids and it fit us great. The lake is not busy, we felt like we had it to ourselves. Soda springs is about a 15 minute drive in if you need anything or need gas for your boat. We had a wonderful vacation and made some great memories!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property with our friends! The house is clean and the location is perfect - right on the lake. Kids loved fishing from the dock and playing on the shore, despite the fact that the weather was cold and rainy. The house had everything we needed (some toys for kids, movies, etc.) and it is spacious. Views over the lake are nice as well. The owners are kind and super responsive. All in all, it was a great stay and I would definitely recommend it. We hope to come back some day!

This reservoir is a hidden beauty. We loved our stay, short distance to Lava Hot Springs and so many things to do there. The house was amazing and I loved knowing how to leave the property and how to respect it too!! Master bedroom bed was so comfortable!! Wish our stay could of been much longer!! Amazing Lake House Property
Nothing but great things to say about this property and owners. From the back yard fishing, private dock, fire pit, bbq, and beautiful house, you can’t go wrong! The house is amazing as well! Nice addition, very clean and well kept, amazingly comfortable beds!! Everyone in our party had an amazing time!! The owners were great too with constant communication with any issue we had! Perfect family lake retreat
My sister and I with our kids aged 2 to 16 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was full of charm and came with plenty of entertainment from children’s books and games, movies, yard games and water activities. The kids especially enjoyed the provided paddle board and boat. The bigger boys went off to enjoy the famous carp fishing and spent time fishing from the dock catching some fairly nice sized trout. As we settled in we had a couple of questions and Lorie responded within minutes. The back deck was a comfortable perch to read, enjoy watching the sun rise, or play a game. We would highly recommend this spot to reconnect with family or friends and hope to return again.
