"We had a very relaxing stay at Casa Sira, which is a beautifully restored traditional house with all the modern comforts. The house is well equipped, and tastefully furnished with everything you need, comfortable beds and wi-fi / Tv etc. It is set in the mountains with stunning scenery all around. The nearest town is a short drive away. Lusima is a great host who went out of his way to make sure we had a great stay.with helpful advice on activities and great restaurants. "We chose this house because of the location. It is quite remote, in a very small hamlet about 10km up narrow roads. Villaviciosa is a lovely small town and worth a walk around. The hamlet of Piedrafita is exactly that, a hamlet. We were hugely disappointed that the local bar/eatery had suffered a fire and was out of action for the foreseeable. That was a shame because it was only a couple of hundred meters away from our accommodation. The nearest place to eat is a 20 minute walk to the next...

"Andoni is a brilliant host - communicating mainly by WhatsApp and replying very quickly to all queries. Great place for exploring the Picos and North coast beaches. The surrounding area is very picturesque and quiet. Arriondas is close by for shopping and Canis de Onga is a lovely town with lots to do and swimming in the river to cool off!"

"Lovely peaceful villa with just the sound of the cowbells and the birds. Had everything we wanted. Perfect for our family of 5 and family dog. The owner was really helpful with arranging a vet visit for us to comply with taking a dog abroad and also when the car needed repairing."

"Linda and Andres were fantastic hosts. The property is a converted barn and well-equipped. It’s in beautiful valley, close to the Rio Sella where you can swim. The garden area is mainly above the house. We didn’t use the bbq because we had our own, as we’d been camping elsewhere. There are plenty of fruit and nut trees nearby and the locals seemed happy for us to take peaches, walnuts and apples! Recommended."

"This is a lovely house with wonderful views, the garden is pleasant, full of birds which enjoyed the stale bread that we put out. The neighboring cat also enjoys the visitors food. The owner speaks good English and is helpful.The negatives were the arbitrary parking, the access road is very narrow and we had a problem with the septic tank being full causing a bad smell in the cottage. The owner did manage to get the tank emptied, so I guess we were just a bit unlucky."
