"Great hotel with beautiful large rooms , very clean and modern facilities. Friendly staff who make check in pleasant and easy. Superb cafeteria and restaurant, we enjoy an evening meal and drinks. Have used this hotel many times in our road trips to Spain and are always happy with the service."

"Great hotel in a fantastic location with wonderful views of the valley and griffon vultures circling above the cliffs opposite. No restaurant meals on Wednesday as the chef has a day off but the bar menu was a fine alternative. It's a bit tricky to reach the hotel as the village's roads a very narrow and steep but it's not a problem with a little care."

"Booked for 1 night as a stop over on way to ferry. Arrived late afternoon, spent some time in the pool, room had small kitchen and we bought some bits with us, so had dinner and enjoyed the sunset over the fields"

"This hotel was an overnight stop off between the coast of Asturias and Rioja. It was very affordable. It did not have the charm of the old buildings but everything we could wish for was there. The food was cheap and very good. The breakfast was enjoyable. The service was good. No complaints. Great Value for money"

"Lovely hotel. Not sure it warrants four stars, but very friendly and clean. One thing, the windows open outwards with the opening starting only 6 inches from the floor on the third floor with a nothing to stop someone falling out. I have a photo but cant upload. Sorry."

"The property was ever so interesting. A Spanish version of Fawlty Towers. Manuel and his wife looked after us extremely well, and it was a pleasure to stay with them. If you’re looking for the unusual, then we would recommend it."

"Very good food and drink at very reasonable price. Used mostly by locals and very busy at times and good atmosphere, if you don’t speak Spanish have translate on phone. There is nothing really within walking distance as it’s in an industrial area but a large car repair and tyres within 1/4 mile."

"We chose this hotel because it was an hour from Santander and just off our main route from Portugal to the ferry port for the UK. Lovely town with impressive old centre and lovely riverside walks. Lively market the day we arrived (Tuesday). Be aware that self-parking is actually free on-street parking but area seems very secure so we left most of our extensive contents in car and had no problem. Also,hotel restaurant non-functioning so sought dinner in town and nowhere open until 9pm. But...
