"Very nice cottage just minutes from pedestrian entrance to chatsworth house. Unfortunately our 2 dogs arent used to people outside walking by and people walk by from 5am which meant we got a barking symphony very regularly! The dogs loved the park and the peaks. Pubs and places to eat close by. Everything we needed in cottage and a bottle of preseco waiting which is a nice touch"

"Stayed here over the Christmas 2023 for 7 nights. As many reviewers have commented, the property is furnished to a high standard, with particularly comfortable beds. Some of the best we’ve had in a rental. The house is well located with views of Carsington Water and pub within walking distance. Lots to see and do within a short drive. "Excellent property for a large group of adults to explore the Peak District. Six en-suite rooms equally sized so no-one gets the small room! Kitchen/dining area easily accommodates the group and is well equipped. The lounge is enormous and has great views. Loads of walking from the Chapel or a short drive away. Pictures/description of the property can't do justice to the wow factor. Would definitely recommend."

"We enjoyed our short stay at the barn. The host Jackie was very friendly and kindly allowed us the use of a field to run the dogs, which we (and they) appreciated very much. "Very helpful owner who brought us cake! The property has everything you need for a group of friends, with 9-10 separate beds. Downside is it is bit cramped - particularly the kitchen and the narrow spiral staircase. But for the price it's great and we'll probably go again."
