NO HIDDEN FEES – our rate includes linen, cleaning, parking for 2 cars & 1 boat, use of our kayaks, your dog is welcome too at no extra charge. Simply settle in and make yourself at home at our beautiful Luna Lakehouse.
Expect daily visits by native birds and find yourself nestled by the lake but only minutes away from surf beaches including Seal Rocks, Cellito's, Bluey's, Boomerang and Elizabeth beaches.

The space
The house is divided into 3 ‘wings’. The upstairs level we call ‘The Pavilion’ and features 2 wings. You enter the house on the Pavilion level through a central foyer and will be greeted by a magnificent view over Smiths Lake through a fixed ceiling-to-floor window.
Move to the left wing and into the vast open-plan living area with family-friendly sofa, TV and combustion fireplace. This space connects to the first deck with outdoor dining, swinging egg chair and expansive lake views. Back through the living area, and into the open kitchen/dining area with its high ceilings, timber floors, a modern Caesar stone island kitchen with 900 gas stove and a solid dining table that seats 10 people. Having a well-stocked kitchen is important to us when we rent a home, so you will find plenty of pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, glasses etc.
Continue and pass the laundry area with connected w/c, then further along this level you’ll enter the master bedroom with its King bed, walk-in wardrobe and large en-suite bathroom featuring 2 sinks, bath tub and separate shower.
The second wing of the Pavilion extends off to the right of the central foyer and features two bedrooms (1 x Queen bedroom, the other room with 2 x single beds), a plush bathroom with bath tub and shower, separate w/c and a family room with TV & kitchenette that opens to the second deck complete with outdoor dining table, swinging egg chair and more views. We think the family room is a great area for the kids / teens to hang out.
Then downstairs, the third ‘wing’, you will find the gorgeous ‘Studio’. It is a self-contained space with a Queen bed, lounge area, kitchenette, air conditioning, en-suite bathroom and its own private deck with outdoor furniture, a BBQ webber and again…those views!
We provide all linen and bath towels, as well as enough amenities to get you settled in (toilet paper, shampoo etc). We do have some beach towels you can use, but advise you bring your own. We have beach umbrellas you can use too.
OUTDOOR – Backyard, Gardens, Lake access
There is private, direct access to the lake via a curated path (with stairs) through native bushland. The view at the lakeside is lovely and you can launch the kayaks from here. Children must be supervised at all times as there is no fencing at the lake’s edge.
We have 2 kayaks you are welcome to use. There are strict conditions on the use of the kayaks as listed in the House Rules. Booking is only accepted on the condition that the House Rules are understood and accepted and kayaks are used responsibly.
We have a daybed located on the garden edge just outside the Studio that you are welcome to enjoy, as well as a herb garden, bay leaf and lemon tree at the front of the house that you can harvest. (Please do not over-harvest! Please take only what you need).
Guest access
You will have the property for your exclusive use – no sharing with other groups. The garage however remains locked and is for the owner’s use only. You can park 2 cars outside the garage, in the driveway.
There is a fire pit area in the backyard and is sealed off – guests must not use or try to use the outdoor fire pit at any time. There is a lovely combustion fireplace in the Pavilion living room area that you can use if you want to have an open fire.
Other things to note
Dog owners – you must not leave your dog alone in the house. The Pacific Palms region is very dog-friendly and you will need to take your dog with you when you go out. Dogs left alone in an unfamiliar house can fret, bark constantly and sometimes destroy furniture!
We are situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood. This is not a party house so we cannot accept bookings for parties or events. Local laws are no noise after 10pm Sunday-Thursday, or after midnight Friday-Saturday.
