Good service but old house and really needs revamp
Old lodge and a lot of old taps, shower and facilities. Lots of construction noise for some repairs they were doing.

Poor
This is the poorest expensive Bed and Breakfast we ever stayed in. The room cost €249, for this we got a shoddy, dilapidated room up bad stairs. One of the pillows did not have a pillow case, the pillow cases were old and grubby. When I went down to ask for a pillow case I was told that they use the pillow protectors as pillow cases! The duvet cover was stained. The en suite had broken dirty grout tiles with strips of tape across rows of tiles to prevent them from falling out. The soap dispenser was cloudy and filthy. The furniture was old and parts missing. The windows were dirty. The breakfast was poor serving only the cheapest produce. No brown break or marmalade etc. We rarely write a poor review but we hope we save others from this place.

I walked in & saw a disgusting DIRTY house!! I went out to the car to inform my husband & immediately booked Portmarnock Hotel a further 25 minute drive South of Skerries…

Great location as it’s a very walkable to the beach and restaurants. Just around the corner as an excellent burrito takeout. The staff are great and made us a beautiful vegetarian breakfast. I believe this property may have had financial issues during Covid; It may be under new management who have taken it over in disrepair and trying to build it back up to its previous glory. It is hard to find as it’s a challenge to see the signage from the street. There’s also a little garden courtyard to eat breakfast outside… With a little bit of effort (throw out or fix anything broken, restain picnic table, fill baskets with flowers, weed gravel) that could be a beautiful space. Lots of potential.
