This property needs help is the nice way to put it. Less than 24 hours before leaving on our trip I hadn’t received any check in information. I did send a message and had a response within the hour but when someone is leaving on a 400 mile trip, having that information would be a little less stressful if it was giving at least 24 to 48 hours ahead of time. This property is old but it has been updated. The main issue here is the heat does not get above 62 degrees day or night. I’m sure it dipped below 60 at night while we slept. No extra blankets like a normal vacation rental would have. Normally you would find these items in a closet. They did bring blankets out at 9 pm the next night on Christmas Eve so we are extremely appreciative of that. It seems from past reviews this isn’t the first time that this problem has occurred. Also, the water pressure is really bad. Zero bathroom amenities besides two bath towels and 2 wash cloths. We were there for three nights and I guess were expected to use the same wash cloths the entire stay. In the description there isn’t any mention of shampoo or soap so don’t expect it. I’ve never stayed at a vacation rental that hasn’t offered these. Also, no hair dryer, people normally don’t travel with a hair dryer for short stays, so I found that odd. This place shouldn’t be rented out until the heat issue is fixed. I’ll be filing a neighborly report on the heat problem. Really a lack of effort all around minus the Christmas Eve blanket.

DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY
We booked this stay on Oct 13, for an overnight stay on Oct 18th. We messaged and called the property multiple times through out our 10 hour drive to find out how to access the room. NO response at all. We get to the rooms building and there is a SUV with Arkansas license plates in our parking spot. Still NO response from property. We call and finally get ahold of the property while sitting in the parking lot trying to find out what is going on. She tells us the room is NOT AVAILABLE. Its not been cleaned. Its VRBO's fault. Not my fault. It is VRBO's fault. Blah Blah Blah. But yet there is a vehicle parked in the rooms parking spot. She said she would try and find us something else in their properties and call us back. Told us sorry, nothing else available. Nothing else i can do. We were not impressed after a ten hour day of driving to find out that the property we booked in advance had probably been double booked. From another review this seems to be a pattern here. If you want to be sure you have someplace to stay, book with somebody else. DO NOT BOOK HERE. At least our refund was prompt. Saw that message as we were scrambling to find a motel room on a Friday night.

We didn’t feel this property was accurately advertised. The pictures on the site aren’t pictures of the room. This was a very small room, with little more than a bed, small refrigerator and tiny bathroom. We tried to communicate ahead of our stay with the contact, but to no avail. We also had hearing/cooling issues the first night and the host provided no assistance other than asking us to open a window. Our designated parking spot was also taken by someone else. The positives is the location was great and it was clean for the most part.

Where is my Refund? Double booked, DID NOT STAY
Did not stay. Found out when ready to check in that this downtown unit (walkable to restaurants/bars) was double booked by host. At last minute, we were offered a rental in a unit on a private homes property in the suburbs across town. Not acceptable for our comfort or convenience to Declined, found a downtown hotel and told refund would be pursued by host Am still waiting on that refund- in addition slow communication is making me apprehensive that I may not get a refund. As result will ensure it doesn’t happen to someone else
