Birthday Get Away
Second bedroom review was on point, please replace the mattress! It’s not for anyone over 18. Down stairs bed is tough(could feel the spring )closest to door. Place might be Colorado clean but not Texas clean. Specifically, on top of the refrigerator, between the stove and countertop, upstairs shower curtain mildew. Cloth couch needs to be cleaned, flip the cushions and watch out! More towels for 6 people is tough so more towels. No hand-towels for whipping or cleaning kitchen.

Read previous reviews!
This place could be five star rating if they only improved a few things… 1. They absolutely, positively NEED to throw out the queen mattress and buy a new one. It is so soft with a huge hole in the middle - doesn’t really qualify as a mattress any longer. Mattresses can be purchased inexpensively. One should expect a firm mattress in good condition when renting a VRBO home. The king mattress and twin mattresses are better, but also need to be replaced. 2. In the description of the house, they need to include that if you are traveling during winter/snowy months, you can ONLY access the house with 4 x 4. The plowing of the small roads is almost nonexistent. You will not access the house without 4 x 4 if there is any snow or ice on the road. The road to get to the house is long (approximately 3/4 - 1 mile) and steep. We had two cars with us. One was 4 x 4. The other was not. The 4 x 4 had to shuttle people back-and-forth to the other car, which we had to illegally park at the nearest hotel. Very inconvenient. Only other option would’ve been to drive all the way back to Denver to trade it in for another 4 x 4. 3. It took us about 45 minutes to unlock the door to get inside. We were given a nine digit code, which did not work, no matter how many times or we tried to put it in. Only after exhausting our efforts, we called Vacasa - turned out that we only needed a four digit code. 4. There are only juuuuust enough towels, and blankets. If you’re expecting more than one per person/bed… don’t. 5. There are only juuuuuust enough plates and only three bowls, two mugs, pots, pans with mismatched lids… It seems like a mishmash of dinnerware, utensils, and cooking pots/pans. 6. There is a sewage smell in the “mud” room. Ewww! 7. There is a washer and dryer. But, the washer does not work properly. Will not run the spin cycle. So, you need to wring out all your clothes as well as possible before putting them in the dryer. 8. The microwave works, but the control panel is collapsing inwards. When you press the buttons, it feels like the whole control panel will fall into the microwave. Again, a lot of these things could be easily corrected. But, these problems have been mentioned multiple times in previous reviews, and apparently have fallen on deaf ears. Too bad, because the place is reasonably nice, in a reasonable location for a reasonable price.

Amazing views
Location was perfect and the views are hard to beat. Make sure you have a 4x4 or all wheel drive vehicle in the winter. They do a great job cleaning the roads to the house but your on a mountain side in Colorado, your going to need it to get around. Will be staying here again.

Great Views Great Location
We loved our stay, Silverthorne is a great location to get to many activities, hiking, shopping, dinning, eat. Although there are many things to do in the area we often couldn't wait to get back to the house to enjoy the great views. Thanks for everything.

Terrifying drive, incorrect address and long sloping icy walkway
The view from living room and master bedroom is spectacular! Getting to the property actually should require 4 wheel drive vehicle. The roads are steep and minimally plowed to not at all. The GPS could not find the address we were given. Roads were so bad our teens got out of the car and slid on the icy roads looking for the address. Upon calling the property manager we were given a COMPLETELY different street and address # which involved backing up on steep icy roads. When we reached the property, there is no walkway from the drive to the entrance, just an icy path of about 12’ distance and 30% grade. I just had a knee replacement so our boys had to help me with a controlled slide down to the door. I did not dare leave until our stay was complete. Getting back to the car was just as bad! There are no hand rails-nothing! Inside floors and bedding were clean. Rugs and carpet are very stained, matted & dingy- need to be thrown away and replaced. Kitchen is a hodgepodge of junk. Again, they could throw it all away, go to the Dollar Store and buy new. Knives were so dull, they were useless. There is so much possibility in this home, but it needs a lot of cosmetic TLC and a safe way to get from the drive to the house. And the right address on the confirmation- that was really crazy???

Nice stay for ski / snowboard trip
My friends and I stayed here for a week to enjoy the nearby mountains to ski and snowboard. This house was very comfortable for who stayed in the king bedroom, however the queen bed sank in the middle and the two twin beds were very springy. The check-in could have been better as the house was not fully equipped with enough towels, hand soap, laundry detergent, etc. Otherwise the view is very nice, and location proximity to Silverthorne town and the surrounding area made this palce very ideal.
