There is a full bathroom across the hall which features a shower and bathtub combination so that you can choose between a relaxing soak or a refreshing shower after a long day of hiking or skiing. The bathroom has plenty of counterspace as well as a window on the high-sloped wall to let in natural light. The bathroom is fully stocked with plush towels, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and makeup removing wipes.
KITCHEN & LIVING ROOM
When you enter the cabin, you immediately feel the coziness and warmth of the wood furnishings and the gas fireplace. There are hooks next to the door for your coats as well as a boot tray so you can kick off your muddy shoes.
To your left, you will see the dining table with comfortable seating for four for an intimate and delicious meal. To your right is the gas fireplace as well as a comfortable reading nook next to it. Ahead of you is the breathtaking living room. This living room is surrounded by windows so you have a full view of the gorgeous Evergreen and Aspen trees that line Clear Creek. There is a comfortable leather sofa that is the perfect place to rest your feet after a long day of hiking. Or, grab a board game and sit next to the window at the bistro table for two. The sofa pulls out into a Queen sized bed.
Experience the perfect blend of rustic and modern in our updated kitchen. The full kitchen is located to the left of the cabin and features stainless-steel gas appliances, cookware and dishes as well as a coffee bar with a Keurig as well as a regular coffee pot & lovely view of the creek from the window.
The kitchen also has a full-sized washer and dryer so you can keep your clothes smelling fresh while you travel.
OUTSIDE SPACE
The living room has a set of glass double doors that lead to the breathtaking back deck. This back deck features outdoor dining furniture, a propane grill and a large, four-person hot tub. The deck overlooks the creek and has gorgeous views of the mountains and the water. Explore the property and find the wooden bridge over the creek and the picnic tables that we keep next to the edge of the water. You can also fish in the creek!
When you drive up to the home, you will notice that the cabin is very close to I-70 but feels incredibly secluded. You will pass a few other houses before you reach the turn-off to the cabin. Our cabin is one of a few different buildings on the property- there are multiple historic buildings that are uninhabitable. There is one cabin next door but it is currently unoccupied. You will be the only guest on our property.
Please note that the cabin is close to I-70 and you may be able to hear highway traffic. The sound of the creek should drown out any unwanted traffic sounds! There is also a bluetooth speaker at the property for your use.
Relax with gorgeous mountain views and fresh air.

Guest Access:
Access to the full cabin, creek and large back deck with hot tub!
The Neighborhood:
We own ten acres of land right off of I-70. You will be amazed at how close you are to the highway, yet still so immersed in nature. There are multiple buildings on our property, but only the cabin is in use. This means that you have plenty of peace and quiet and no disturbances from neighbors.
Clear Creek is right behind our cabin and it is a great spot to fly fish from May to October.
The trailhead for Grays and Torreys Peak is about 20 minutes up Stevens Gulch Road. This road is right by our cabin, which makes it the perfect place to stay when you want to go conquer a 14'er in the morning!
We put the house numbers on a tree before turning down the road to our cabin. There is a little red barn to help let you know you are in the right place.
Getting Around:
Clear Creek County has a free public bus called RoundAbout that can bring you to various grocery stores and cities around the area.
Our cabin has easy access to I-70 which makes it easy access to Loveland, Silver Plume and Georgetown. Going west, our cabin is ONLY 5 miles from Loveland Ski Area!
There is a back road to Silver Plume and Georgetown which is an easy 5 minute drive. The Georgetown Loop Railroad is just east of our place and we would recommend taking a ride as it is a great way to see the beautiful scenery of the area. There are old mining tours available as well as plenty of shopping in Georgetown and Loveland.
This is also a great place to stay if you are looking to go skiing/snow boarding/snow shoeing/hiking in other areas nearby like A-Basin, Copper Mountain or in cities like Dillon, Frasier, Silverthorne. These places are easier to get to than staying in the city and being in traffic on your way into the mountains.
Please note that you may need 4WD in the winter when it is icy or slick. We do our best to plow the snow as soon as we can, but it can still be slick and hazardous.
Other Things to Note:
There is wifi available! There is so much history in the area to learn and explore that you could keep yourself busy or just relax, play games & read inside the cabin.
Do not leave any garbage outside- place it in the bear-proof dumpster and relock it.
You are in the mountains of Colorado. There ARE bears and other wild animals around. Please do not leave any food or trash outside the cabin unless it is in the animal-proof dumpster. If you see any wild animals such as bears, deer, elk, snakes, bugs, rabbits or coyotes, etc, please just leave them alone and keep your distance.
Also, please leave your keys in the lock box when you leave the property so they are safe and secure.
