"Turns out they were closed on the day of our checkin which we were not aware of. We tried to call and no one answered. We finally got a number for emergencies and he gave us the code to the safe with our key. When we got to the place they had not prepared at all. The beds were not made, there was no soap or cleaning items to towels yet checkout required us to wash dishes. The electricity was also off so we had to find the electrical box. The WiFi also didn’t work. When we tried to calll back the emergency number no one answered."

"We stayed two nights to see the gorges. It was wonderful. The facility is lovely….well laid out….great hot tub/pool….and the view from our room was beautiful. The Gorges du Verdon is a gem…..be sure to drive the loop and then the long way round….stunning."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lou Calen. Starting with the check-in staff as they were so accommodating. The entire staff is extremely nice, helpful and friendly. I dont know for certain but it appears to be a family-run property. Our rooms were very nicely-appointed, very clean and most of all extremely modern. We were thrilled with our stay there"

Customer service in the south of France really is amongst the best in the world. My room was spacious and cool, nice views, hotel facilities were very good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Provence. "
