"2/5. You get what you pay for, but l've stayed in better for less, and worse for more, which is the only reason it's not a 1. Not the quietest, not the cleanest. Walls so thin someone walking barefoot in a neighbouring room sounded like they were in the room with us. My feet went black walking around the room, the bedding had an uncomfortable feeling of being unclean, the bathroom was smelly and had a hole in the wall/missing panel. The room smelt of petrol! Asked for help ordering a taxi as it's next to a dual carriage way with no obvious taxi rank nearby and staff seemed confused by the query. Food was good, but would avoid the meat.... However smoking is allowed so we asked to be moved. Breakfast was lacking - only toasties. Risk of electrocution when plugging anything into the wall, as sockets are hanging off it. WiFi is free but painfully slow. Name is misleading, Itsy doesn't appear anywhere on the building, causing confusion to taxi drivers."

"The property is excellent and one of the best place to see the mighty sleeping buddha formation while sipping your morning coffee from the comfort of your balcony. If your goal is to watch the Kanchenjunga throughout the day then this hotel should be your choice as it provides better views than even the famous batasia loop. Pros: Furniture and fittings are of the highest quality Views of Kanchenjunga from the balcony (check with reception before booking) In house restaurant provides tasty vegetarian food Cons: There is no hotel frontage, so getting up and down from the cab is a bit of a hassle and needs to be done in a hurry 20 min uphill walk to the mall. Cabs charge whatever they want. Suggestion: The hotel has everything that one wants in Darjeeling except for the access to the mall, if a free shuttle can be arranged at regular intervals to ferry hotel guests uphill, it will be a huge improvement. Coming downhill isn't a problem. *The water pressure in the rain showers inside the washroom is one of the best I have seen in a hotel in India "

"Mostly everything was great. Room cleaning needs to improve. Breakfast quality is substandard, specially the pastry items. Staff service and courtesy was top notch. Special mention to Prerna from the restaurant, amongst others, who hosted us brilliantly every time."

"The property is very nice and clean. But, I did not like the staff behaviour, they don't listen to your problems at all."

"The hotel staff is friendly, the hotel amenities are very efficient and effective, and the view of the mountains from the top two floors - is just fantastic. Had a bit of a medical emergency, and the hotel had no immediate response. They did not know how to call a doctor, but they did provide a car to take me to the hospital next-door but did not offer the car service to come back."

"Overall good. However, it could have been better if following things were looked at the owner. 1. Room door does not shut automatically 2. Bathroom door does not shut 3. Space in the room where the safe deposit box is situated needs attention. The door of this space does not shut and therefore, light does not switch off, not good especially when one tries to sleep at night. 4. There is a roller blind on the window, which still allows light onto the room from sides. This could be improved by proper blind."
