Has potential, but missed the mark on liveability
Ah, where to start. I want to be as positive as possible while being truthful. The unit could’ve been a great place to rest and get going to do your activities of the day. But the functionality offered in the unit was quite sub-par. Details: 1) The bed had no boxspring, and the mattress was old and soft where springs could be felt all night long. 2) the nightstands and lamps were small and rickety. 3) there were no places to store your clothes, such as shelving, dressers, etc. There was a plastic shelving system at the bottom of one of the closets but was very cheap and useless. 4) there were two closets for hanging your clothes, we only needed one. The other closet could’ve been rebuilt as a nice storage place for clothing with shelving, and let the other closet be used for storing household goods, vacuums, brooms, linens, etc. Instead, linens were unorganized and shoved willy-nilly here and there. 5) there were no washcloths. 6) the bathroom had very little storage for toiletries and Dopp kits. The faucet to the tub was old and difficult to use. 7) the place in general was clean, but the floors were quite dusty. 8) and finally, communication was subpar. We were always asking for information and nothing was given to us.If the owner owner could fix these issues and maybe try to spend a night or two in his own unit to understand what it’s like living in there, he could have a nice well-paying unit close to the army base, which would be very helpful for many people.
