"Perfect spot I wish we have stayed longer"

"We were lucky enough to happen across this gem when searching for a quiet location close to Santander that would accommodate us and our two small dogs in a hurry. We were taken aback by the extent of kindness and curtesy extended to us by Ivan and warmed by a welcome that was genuine. The accommodation is tasteful and thoughtfully responds to the 150 year old fully renovated building, replete with all of its original timber beams. "The pictures on the advertisement are nothing close to the reality. Ceilings and walls are plastered with dead mosquitoes. Rooms are very hot, and they do not have air conditioning or even a fan. "

"Excellent place to stay. Very clean and very friendly staff. Excellent location to visit the “must see” medieval town of Santillana Del Mar in Cantabria. This northern part of Spain is very beautiful and this hotel is also very convenient to sight see towns around. The Altamira Caves and its replicas, another must see, are 2 - 3 minutes away. Loved the place."

Lovely 15th century mansion

"This is a beautiful property in a 15th century mansion in a lovely little town. It was great to have private secure parking and the staff was so helpful. The bar was a great little spot and breakfast was delicious. There is no restaurant however and only selected options at the bar. We were there in mid-November and restaurant options in town were limited. Overall highly recommended and reasonably priced."
