Amazing Property
I can’t say enough about the beauty of the property and the family who run it. Lavinia and Lorenzo could not have been more welcoming and friendly. The wine and olive oil are not to be missed! We were in Italy on a sibling trip and we were taken back by the property and the views, WOW!! Thank you again for making our time so special!!

Outstanding villa in Tuscany.
We had a wonderful week at the villa. The place is gorgeous and spacious with beautiful views. Lavinia hosted us with a lot of charm, care and knowledge. Aldo took good care of the reservation and rescheduling during Covid. Lorenzo and Lavinia gave us a great tour of the vineyards and wine and olive oil making. Highly recommended place for a family vacation. We had a great time.

Amazing villa!!!
We were a party of 8 staying for a week. Our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer! The house was stunning, as were the grounds. Six bedrooms all with en suites! The owner gave us a tour of the property and we tasted the wine that they produce, which was delicious! They also produce THE BEST olive oil I’ve ever had! We were only 15 minutes by car to Siena. Don’t miss out on this place. You won’t regret it!

Spectacular !
We just returned from staying at Tenuta Larnianone for a week with three other couples . This was by far the Best Accomodations we have stayed in . The Villa and property are stunning , the view is exactly what you see in their pictures enhanced by Roses in every color. The inside is authentic with beautiful art work and antique furniture. They arrange a chef who cooked dinner and we were able to participate in a cooking class. The owners live nearby and are available to help in any way . We highly recommend Villa Santa Virginia in Siena .

Wonderful stay in Tuscany!
Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay at Santa Virginia! The house, grounds, and location look beautiful online but are even more spectacular in person. The house is close and has easy access to Siena, but you also feel like you’re worlds away when you’re at home, tucked in the heart of the countryside. The booking and check in process was easy...Duccio was there to welcome us when we arrived, offered reliable itinerary suggestions, and was always available to answer questions. Anna coordinated a cooking class with a local chef to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and she gave us the recipes so we can recreate the meal at home. Truly everything was perfect, the only question now is when can we go back?! Thank you to Duccio and Anna for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful, stunning, amazing
We stayed at the property last week - a group of 6 adults and 6 children. We had the most amazing week and are so happy we decided on this house. The setting is simply stunning, we didn't leave the grounds much as we just couldn't get enough of the views. The house itself is huge and beautifully restored. We had all meals outside, the pool is lovely, the small and big kids of the group enjoyed table tennis tournaments, there is a selection of toys inside too, the kitchen is well stocked with everything necessary for a big group. Thank you to the family for making us feel welcome! I hope we will be able to return. All the best, Pia

A beautiful Tuscan experience
Villa Santa Virginia is all that the web site claims it to be and more. We returned from a two week stay with nothing but happy memories . Duccio and Alessandra were always available and anxious to ensure our comfort. The bread ,fruit, wine and cheese which they provided on the day we arrived at the Villa was a warm welcome as our large travel weary group arrived from different parts of the United States. Thirteen family members were comfortably accommodated . We made day trips to Florence and villages such as San Gimignano and were fortunate to experience all the excitement and color of the Palio in Siena during our stay and the lovely villa was always a treat to return to.

Amazing villa in a stunning location
I booked this villa for a group of 8 (4 couples). The layout of the villa was perfect, giving plenty of room and the villa was clean, Duccio and Paola were very helpful and responsive to questions. The views from the villa were stunning and morning runs along the estate roads were ideal for the athletic members of the group. The villa is ideally situated to get to Siena, San Gimignano and visit the main wine regions: Chianti, Montepulciano and Brunello Di Montalcino. We enjoyed beautiful weather and being able to eat and relax outside the villa watching the sunset. I arranged for a cooking lesson at the villa which Duccio organised, this was well received and a fun evening, I would definitely recommend this. Overall this is an amazing villa, well kept, in a stunning location with a host that is available and happy to help with any request. Our group had a very memorable stay here.

Absolute Perfection!
EVERYTHING about our experience was fantastic - from booking the Villa to our check out. Lavinia is AMAZING!! Gracious, knowledgeable, accessible, charming, hospitable… shall I go on?? Villa Santa Virginia was PERFECT for our 4 couples. In fact it could have accommodated 6 couples if we rented the detached room on the grounds. The Villa is STUNNING. Great location to Siena (10 minute easy drive). Each room comfortable and plenty of room. The Villa is well stocked with all the essentials in the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room. AMPLE room for our crew to cook dinner together, dine together and spread out and have alone time. AND there is a GORGEOUS pool! We will definitely be back! Grazie Mille dear Lavinia. You are the BEST! Xoxo Teresa, Perry & Crew

Amazing Tuscan villa/vacation
I have used VRBO several times to book a variety of vacations and have always been pleased. I have to say that my high expectations were exceeded with this rental. What an amazing property and location! It was an absolutely amazing vacation! The pictures accurately represent the villa but the scenery is even more stunning. The layout (one bathroom for each bedroom) is perfect for a large group. And the living spaces are large and homey. We spent each evening either dining outside or at the large table inside with plenty of room for our group of 13. And our hosts were remarkable. We were lucky enough to be onsite for the grape harvest and crush and Anna took us on a tour of the process and the cellars. She and Angelo spent a lot of time educating us on the growing and harvesting of the grapes and producing of the wines. Thanks to you both! Great tour! We loved our Tuscan vacation and hope to make this an annual event. I highly recommend this property: the owners are wonderful and location spectacular!

Dream Family Holiday
We had the most wonderful two weeks in Santa Virginia as a celebration of my 50th and my mums 80th birthday with friends and family of all ages staying with us. The villa is glorious: spacious, beautifully and sensitively restored and furnished and utterly peaceful with the most incredible "filmic" view looking out across the Sienese landscape. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the table football, table tennis and wi-fi by the pool were a big hit with the teenagers. The additional cottage in the garden provided us with the flexibility we needed to be able to invite more family at the last minute. Duccio was the kindest of hosts, responding promptly and efficiently to any questions we had, always going above and beyond the call of duty to help us at various moments of need and providing us with local insight and knowledge (particularly about the Palio- which was fantastic). We thoroughly enjoyed his personal tour of the family winery and the wine itself is completely delicious. It was a completely memorable two weeks and we really hope to be able to return to Santa Virginia again in the very near future!

Family dream vacation in Siena
It has been our plan and dream for a decade to celebrate our retirement with a full family trip -- all 11 of our children and grandchildren -- to a villa in Tuscany. We could not have found a more ideal match for our dream than Villa Virginia. The views from the front of the home look like an idyllic oil painting of miles of Tuscan countryside. The accommodations were perfectly suited and well beyond expectations. Duccio and Anna were the perfect hosts -- available when needed but not intrusive. At our request, they arranged for another part of our dream, a fully-catered chef-prepared meal on the lawn of the villa one Sunday evening. It was an experience that literally brought tears to our eyes it was so perfectly beautiful. We all swam, played ping-pong, chess and foosball, and enjoyed the delicious wine produced on the property. The house was comfortable from morning to night with windows open and nice breezes passing through. Be aware you are a few miles out of Siena -- too far to walk, a car is helpful. But you are out in that beautiful countryside -- it is breathtaking. Our new dream is to go back to this very house.

Awesome week at Villa Santa Virginia
If you can imagine the perfect vacation, it was six women and my little grand-daughter the first week of July enjoying the time of our lives at the villa. Our sincere compliments go out to Duccio and his family for giving us the opportunity to experience this gem. The grounds.on the estate are lovely; the views, breathtaking. The villa is beautiful and comfortable, the pool is perfect with many comfortable lounges and a large umbrella. The wine from the estate and olive oil are delicious. The days are warm, the nights are cool. Thank you to Monica, who prepared two fabulous meals for us. Thank you to Duccio for being such a gracious host and also for securing us great seats to the Palio (which is an event not to be missed). Thank you to his sister for surprising us with delicious tiramisu for the birthday dinner. Our Siena turned 8 at the villa. An unforgettable celebration. She, as well as the rest of us, will remember always this truly wonderful week. Duccio, we send you a big thank you and very much hope to stay at Santa Virginia again. It was, quite frankly, the chance of a lifetime. Our sincere best wishes to you and your family, Diane, Stacy, Siena, Jeanne, Julie, Suzanne and Lindsay.

Better than the photos
It didn't seem possible that the property and location could be any more beautiful than the pictures of the villa on the hill, the pool overlooking the rolling hills of Tuscany...but it was. We had a magical stay. Aldo was a perfect host, always there with help. The wines were fantastic and made in the adjacent building! We had a chef come 2 nights and ate dinner outside (breakfasts were there too!). 12 minutes to the beautiful ancient city of Siena. Tenuta Larnianone was simply perfect in every way. It was very hot when we were there (97F), but the house maintained temperature very well. There are 2 things to be aware of, neither of which effected us significantly. First, there is no air conditioning (though the website says there is). There are fans for every room and with the old stone the villa is built with things were quite cool at night and offered relief during the days too...naturally. Also, the road to the get to the villa is @2.7km long and is not paved. Your car will be filthy. All that said, we loved it only wishing we had more than 1 week to enjoy it all.

The most incredible experience ever- exceeded our expectations!
Wow, I don't even know where to start. Staying at this villa was an experience myself, my friends & family will never forget! We are already talking about coming back in a couple years. To start, the Villa was absolutely breathtaking! The view felt like a painted backdrop, it was gorgeous it didn't feel real. Views of the grain fields, the vineyards, mountains & even the town of Siena was visible. The pool was perfect for those hot days and we enjoyed all the seating / umbrella options for those with fairer skin. The inside of the villa was incredibly charming and there was so much natural light, not to mention loads of character! Each room came with a bathroom, which was very helpful since we had quite a few guests. Several dining options available, each with their own unique quality. Best of all, was Duccio's hospitality! He was so gracious in checking on us to make sure we had all of our needs met at all times. He was so genuine and truly cared that we had a great experience. They also provide their own wine & olive oil for sale (at a reasonable price) and it was so delicious! We all bought bottles of olive oil to take back to the U,S, with us. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone! P.S. Some others have noted on here that there is no AC unit, which I was a little unsure of before we arrived, however even on the very hot days it was never too hot! The house had a nice breeze flowing through it and stayed surprisingly very cool. Even during peak heat hours everyone was able to nap in their rooms if they chose to. Zero complaints! Can't wait to come back! :)

Amazing property in a storybook setting
Santa Virginia, as this property is called, sits on a Tuscan hilltop among the rolling hills of grape vines and olive trees. It comes with a pool, which the kids used every chance they could. There is a bathroom in every bedroom which always makes each guest happy. There was plenty of space for our group of 9 to spread out and be alone when they wanted. The kitchen is well stocked. We had a chef for 3 of the nights, which was delicious and well worth it, in fact depending on where you go out to eat, may actually be cheaper. We rented some taxis which came and whisked us into to Siena for a night of dining, which is also great as it is so close. The location made day trips to various hill towns easy and drivable. The pictures online don't do the scenery justice. While sitting by the pool, we all remarked how the sight in front of us, literally looked like a painting. That's how amazing the view is. The proprietors of the property Duccio and his wife Alessandra were away for the first few days, so we got to meet Tullio and Ana, which are Duccio's brother and sister. They took care of every need we had until Duccio returned. They have a few cases of wine, and prosecco, in the kitchen to buy, which was very good and reasonably priced. This is the wine produced on the property, in fact, in the basement of Santa Virginia! The tour is a must. There are grocery stores and other shops a short 10-15 minute drive away which was convenient as it is also right outside the Siena wall. We had 3 generations with us from 9-80 and everyone had a memorable time. If a Tuscan villa vacation is on your list, then this property will not disappoint. Ciao

A True Tuscany Experience!
Wow this Villa was amazing! It was like transporting in time but with all the modern conveniences. Kitchen and bathrooms were upgraded and home was very clean. Great for our family of 8 plus my niece and baby. Everyone had their own room with bathroom. The view is what we came for after seeing the photos when booking. Amazing vista with olive trees and vineyards. You can see why it is a painter or photographers dream. Duccio was an amazing host who answered the many questions we had. He was very attentive and even showed us all about his vineyards and wine press attached to the property. We even got lucky enough to witness the start of the harvesting. We had an amazing dinner made for us by Aurola and she even cleaned everything up! One thing to make clear is that you definitely need a car. We are walkers and thought it would be easy to walk everywhere but that is not the case. The villa is a bit off the main road with paved and unpaved roads so it is recommended. A taxi ride is $15 euro one way so expect at least $30 roundtrip. Also we ate mainly at the villa and made many trips to the coop so the car was handy for that. The pool was very refreshing and clean. We also had cute visitors such as the local cats and a very small fox would come by at night. Friendly but kept his distance. We took the train to Florence one day. Train station is about a 15 minute car ride from villa then train ride is 1-1/2 hours to Florence approximately. Lovely way to see some little towns. Note that we traveled roundtrip out of Fiumicino airport in Rome because of visiting Rome before coming to Siena but It was a 3 hour drive back to airport so Florence would be the way to leave from if you were to stay here. All in all an amazing vacation! Can't wait to open the olive oil and wine we brought back from the villa! Thanks again Duccio!

Unforgettable family vacation at this beautiful home and property
Our extended family of 11 (two sets of grandparents, an aunt and uncle, mom, dad and three girls) spent an unforgettable week at Santa Virginia. The home and property exceeded our expectations - the views from the home are incredibly beautiful, some of our favorite moments were simply looking at the view with our morning coffee and evening wine. The villa itself felt quintessentially Tuscan and rustic, yet so clean, spacious and well appointed. It was the perfect blend of old and new, and provided every comfort. The two large living areas were perfect for our large group. The dining area seated all of our family comfortably, and there was plenty of quality glassware, dishes, silverware, mugs, etc. for all of us (my MIL, who has owned rental properties in the past, commented several times on how extraordinarily well appointed the house was!). In the living room, we enjoyed sitting around the fireplace with a glass of wine (the evenings were still quite cool during our visit) while watching the kids (and adults) play game after game of foosball (again, perfect blend of old and new to please all tastes and ages!). We took several walks around the property, just enjoying the views and vineyards (the views....TRULY amazing). We are a group of wine lovers, and enjoyed the private tour of the estate's wine cellar as well as drinking the estate wines, which we could purchase as desired throughout the week. We also enjoyed two chef dinners at the villa, arranged by the owners. Monica cooked for us on our first night, and then again mid-week where she provided a cooking class, in addition to dinner. Monica's dinners were delicious and a wonderful vacation treat to relax and enjoy such a nice dinner in the comfort of "home." The location of the property in relation to Siena is also ideal. We felt completely away from it all while at the villa, yet, with just a short drive we would be in downtown Siena. Some homes we had considered renting were quite far from any towns, and we felt quite lucky that we chose Santa Virginia not only for the beautiful home but for the excellent location. We would not hesitate to recommend Santa Virginia to any of our family or friends. And the owners took excellent care of us, responding promptly to all of my questions prior to the trip, and taking immediate care of any minor questions we had during our stay. Our family TRULY hopes to return to Tenuta Larnianone some day. Grazie mille, Duccio and family!

Tuscan Reality
We arrived at Villa Santa Virginia with our children and grand children for a special Tuscany holiday only to be greeted with the comment, " we have bad news, the weather will continue to be over 100 degrees for your stay". We knew it was hot but surely there would have been extra preparation made by the owners of the Villa to enable their guests to be comfortable during this unusual weather. The house was very hot during the day and miserable at night for sleeping. One fan was put in each bedroom for comfort yet this was hardly enough ventilation. No fans were supplied downstairs. We tried to be vigilant about our situation but the only relief was the swimming pool and the special view. Because of the hot house, we decided to depart early from our one week rental. The reason we were interested in renting the Villa was because it was listed air conditioned so we knew we would be comfortable, yet we learned that it was not, but with the firm assurance from the proprietor that the house was always cool due to the thick walls and that August temperatures were lower than July with night temperatures around 18/20 C. We were deeply disappointed because of the information we received and what we experienced was not what was expected. A list is provided below addressing issues about rental property 1636667: Air conditioned was listed on the amenities list but was promptly changed Aug 6 on the website after the proprietor was shown the amenities list. A near by air conditioned apartment for two was offered to us at full price, and was finally negotiated to a lower price by a family member who reminded the proprietor of the situation we walked into. We took the extra space to help a 3 yr old and his parents sleep better. Be prepared for extra fees. Mattresses and pillows were very hard Squeaky bed springs in one room Towels provided once a week only Washer and Dryer needed instructions Kitchen refrigerator not working (used refrigerator in wash room) Coffee machine very old, very slow, frustrating The proprietor needs to provide an organized expense voucher system to present to renters rather than appearing daily, waiting for euro payments. Proprietor supplied a contact number for assistance so there was no reason to appear each morning. Essential to have a car due to remote location What was great: Very clean, well taken care of villa with nice bathrooms Nice sheets Enjoyabe pool Stellar view Great chef meal outside at night

Tuscany Villa
The highlight of this property is the amazing views of the Tuscan countryside. If we could have stayed another week lounging by the pool we definitely would!
