"Everything was very good. We have work conferences here sometimes. The hotel feels a little old in that they decided to stay classic rather than it is just rundown. It feels a bit on the line for that though. My reason for not giving 5 stars is that there is 1 physical key for the room. So if your spouse/companion/roommate is in the room and asleep, then you have to ask housekeeping to come open the door. "This was a fantastic hotel!!! Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. Had breakfast there pretty much every morning because most places weren’t open early enough. The only complaint (and it is not them) is that it was very difficult to sleep because the bars across the street were soooo loud and would play music till after midnight. Otherwise the stay was amazing!!! "

"The hotel was wonderful! The room and property was very clean! The location was wonderful to the mall and activities. If you are a light sleeper the airplanes overhead might keep waking up and the club next door also might keep you up. If can sleep through things then you will sleep great in the comfortable bed. The shower water in the morning was a little cold but at night it was perfect. "

"I've lived in Thailand for years, had a rental car on this trip and am familiar with Chiang Mai. I very much enjoyed our stay at Centara. Earlier reviews stated that this property was run down. It appears to me to have been renovated very well. Our rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. Reception and restaurant/coffee shop were very nice (though over priced). "We had a great stay at the Chaya. In particular the staff were all very friendly and attentive. As for the room, it was very clean, spacious and kept to a high standard. We didn’t have breakfast and didn’t tour the local area so can’t comment, but for the pool and the room we would highly recommend this hotel. Short taxi away from the airport and the Old town and local enough for tours to collect us from the hotel. "

"We had just about the best room in the hotel, really big and comfortable, with a lovely view of the tiny swimming pool (I never saw anyone in it). Marvellous considering the outside was a concrete jungle and a very busy road. We never ate there. It was an oasis. Staff were very polite and helpful."

"Loved our stay, the property was so hopeful and found us a driver to the temples in Chiang Rai when our driver didn’t show. Very clean and beautiful property and close to the airport with shuttle is nice."
