"Das Ryokan ist zwar schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, ist aber gerade deswegen so charmant. Alle waren äußerst zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Es war ruhig und sauber. Das Frühstück so liebevoll serviert, ich habe es geliebt. Den Onsen im Haus habe ich nicht probiert. Die Lage der Unterkunft im älteren Teil Beppus ist super und sehr authentisch. Unbedingte Empfehlung für echtes Japan-Feeling. "

"Lovely ryokan. Excellent fixed-course meals (both Japanese and western). As with most traditional Japanese inns, there is little flexibility when it comes to their set ways (such as asking for a cup of coffee with breakfast, when you are only offered tea…can not do). The area surrounding the inn is also quite industrial and unattractive. But it is within easy walking distance of Beppu’s main attraction—the Hells of Beppu hot springs."

"Everything about Nihon No Ashitaba was so incredibly beautiful, serene, and thoughtful. They offer a free shuttle everyday to Yufuin station where you can walk, shop, eat, and enjoy Yufuin. We were greeted promptly after riding the Yufuin No Mori from Hakata Station.They have multiple private onsens and a large open air hot spring you can reserve a time everyday if you wanted.
