"Read mixed reviews before my stay. Found it quite pleasant. Some people may find access outside of bar hours difficult as it’s via the fire escape. Location is good. A short walk to city centre & plenty of places to eat & drink in the immediate vicinity. It’s an old building but room was clean & adequately furnished & decorated. "

"This hotel had beem recommend to us and it did not disappoint. The room (crows nest) was superb, the facilities were spot on and the menu was excellent (festive theme) great value and food was mega tasty. Cant fault our stay at all"

"What a beautiful location. When my wife and i woke up in the morning, we watched the sunrise over the Dales. The same for breakfast as the dining room has ceiling high windows overlooking the cows and sheep grazing in the fields. The rooms are nice, clean, and quiet, and the beds are comfy. We quickly became friends with some of the other guests. The bottom line is that we had a wonderful time there. We highly recommend Throstle Nest Farm. "

"Cleanliness Mixed Bedding clean (and bed comfortable) Loo clean Tea station clean BUT Curtains not properly on rail No net curtains even though on ground floor Carpet hoovered but stained Wallpaper on exposed corners worn and grubby. "

"From the moment we arrived Debbie made us feel so welcome, the room was spotless, the bed was ready comfy and the room was lovely and warm. In the morning when we went for breakfast Debbie greeted us with a good morning and a smile. Breakfast was well cooked, plentiful and set us up for the day. "This property has excellent facilities for self catering, and is clean, & spacious. However the heating was an issue. Over a three night stay it finally worked on the last night. "

"Lovely period property and rooms. Close to cafes and pubs. Staff helpful. Only down side, no food on site other than self service cereal type breakfast, however lots of lovely cafes nearby. "

"Such a bad check in. Took 15-20 minutes to get me into the room, which was terrible. Pictures on adverts did not represent the place. Shared bathroom with no toilet seat. Just such a bad experience. I prepaid for 2 nights and paid for another hotel second night so I didn’t have to stay. "
