The View!
The Plaice was a dream come true for us: immaculately clean throughout, incomparable views, central location - just perfect! And dog-friendly, which is a bonus!

Fab holiday, whatever the weather
We love this holiday apartment for its amazing location. It's a treat to be able to view the sunrise from 2 bedroom windows and sunset from the living room and terrace. It's well equipped (although the tv isn't great) with all you could need. 2 minute walk into the sea, a short stroll to shops, pubs and restaurants and easy access to the coastal path.

Great location
Perfect location and well provisioned. Some fixtures and fittings a little 'tired', but everything provided that you could need, including binoculars and beach toys. Beds are firm, which didn't suit us all, but the sound of the sea in the beach lulled all of us to sleep. Handy for everything in Sheringham, which has loads to do and a lovely atmosphere.

Amazing location
You really can't fault the location. Amazing panoramic views of the sea and it is just a few steps down to the beach. The proximity to the town centre and convenient parking is a massive bonus. Shops, restaurants and other facilities are just a couple of minutes walk away. The accomodation is simple yet has everything you need. Bedrooms are compact, but big enough. The main appeal however is the large lounge/dining area which is where you'll want to spend most of your time. The games table (pool, air hockey, table tennis) was appreciated by our children! The kitchen is small but we'll equipped. Our only issue was the cleanliness. The bath and shower rooms would've benefitted from a good scrub. Something that's easy to solve and I'm sure that this will be addressed in future. That aside, we had a lovely time and I would recommend it to others. The owner was also very helpful and responsive to my questions.

Another lovely week
This is the second time we have stayed here . The location and view could not be any better . This is why we returned . Lots of people do pass right by your door as its on the steps from the long stay car park but we didn't find this an issue at all . Everyone is fascinated by the building as it used to be a cafe/bar. I would however say it is getting tired. The mattresses and bed linen are old. The towels had seen better days. There's no carpet anywhere . Hard floor tiles and laminate in the bedroom. So coming out the bathroom with no mats in the bedroom etc . One big downside is no outdoor tap . You come back from the beach covered in sand and have no way of washing it off so you end up trailing into the accommodation and washing it down the shower/bath . The shower kept backing up with sludge and sand from previous occupants. The windows are also dirty we asked for them to be cleaned prior to our arrival this time and the housekeeper did her best but I couldn't believe they are not professionally cleaned regularly being right by the sea and above a cafe . The frames outside were green. The outside area is also tired now. Saying that the view and location is so fantastic I would go again .

Great location, apartment was exactly what we expected.
The Plaice is really conveniently located to the Cliifs Road Car Park, halfway down the stairs to the beach; very convenient. The apartment itself has probably the best and closest view of the beach there is, and slept us all comfortably in really good beds. The facilities were excellent; kitchen, bathroom and shower room, living space, games table all good. Two minor niggles; the towels were on the small side, and the TV is definitely too small; I had to set the wi-fi up on it when we first arrived. We will return! Many thanks

Just what I wanted
All I wanted was to be able to see and hear the sea. There were lots of places to get take away food at excellent value and great taste ect. Only problem being disabled hell of a job to get in or out of property.

Fantastic sea view holiday flat
Wow what a beautiful flat. Great location for my 88 yr old dad 3 min walk to the pub Loved the pool table which helped when we had a power cut. called Sam the housekeeper and she got straight onto it. The owner then called to tell me it was a problem in the area but told them i had a vulnerable person so will be fixed within the hour. Which actually only took 30 mins. Such a lovely caring Owner and Housekeeper. Parked the car in the carpark for the week and walked down some steps into the flat. All stone floor and no steps my dad had the onsuite room, he loved the views and was safe to stay whilst my hubby and I went to get papers and shopping which is only 6 mins walk away. Not suitable for wheelchair users unless you can manage your stairs. But a must if you can. Lovely friendly town, would return again. Beds all comfy and even thought of your privacy as on side windows a one way film was applied, so you can see out but you cannot see in from outside. Brilliant.

What a wonderful view.
We wanted time away where we could relax and watch the world go by and this property certainly gave us that. Could very easily take morning coffee/ afternoon tea down to the beach and sit on the rocks watching the sea. We did not eat out much as the view from the dining table was better than anywhere else. Easy access to shops and takeaways. The cafe below was only open a few times, and did not disturb us, but summer when windows are open it could be different. Had not appreciated in advance just how much noise the waves on the stones at high tide would make, especially when trying to go to sleep.
