Welcome to the chic and contemporary ‘The Welcome Paddock’. Thoughtfully designed with every amenity to guarantee a serene holiday experience. Accommodating up to 10 guests, the property features a dedicated wing with four bedrooms—two adorned with Queen-sized beds, one with a King bed, and another with comfortable bunk beds. Adding to the charm, a separate guest house accommodates an extra 2 guests accommodating 10 guests in total, and nestled amidst picturesque vines and trees. The guesthouse boasts a king-size bed and a private ensuite bathroom. Every room is equipped with both heating and cooling systems to ensure your comfort throughout your stay.
Indulge in the spacious lounge room offering breathtaking views of the serene back paddock. The kitchen, dining room, and outdoor deck provide an ideal setting for entertaining. With 3.5 bathrooms and a separate outdoor laundry, convenience is at your fingertips. Upstairs, the TV room boasts a picturesque view of the front lake and the fully fenced solar heated pool and spa. Discover various cosy spots within the house, including the fireplace nook - a perfect retreat for reading - and the upstairs deck, an inviting space for morning yoga and breakfast.
Step onto the expansive rear deck featuring a spacious corner couch for relaxation and an oversized table accommodating up to 12 guests. A BBQ is conveniently situated on the deck, and hammocks are also available for your leisure. The fully fenced backyard offers a two-story cubby house, sandpit, and swing set, creating an ideal environment for hours of joyful play. With safety in mind, two bodies of water on the property cater to water sports enthusiasts, complete with provided life vests. Please note that due to the unfenced lakes and dams, close supervision of children is essential at all times.
Adjacent to our chicken coop, you'll find a Pétanque court - an ideal spot for a delightful game in the late afternoon, accompanied by the mesmerising backdrop of a spectacular bush sunset.

While the pool is not heated during winter (a factor reflected in our non-summer pricing), guests can still enjoy ultimate relaxation year-round in our outdoor spa, heated to a cozy 36°C using gas and a heat pump. Whether you're cooling off in summer, unwinding in the spa during winter, or simply soaking up the serene surroundings, we’ve got your comfort covered.
Q. What kind of coffee machine and coffee is provided?
A. We provide a Nespresso coffee pod machine and a small supply of pods to get you started. As we understand everyone has their own preferences for coffee strength and flavour, we recommend stopping at one of the local supermarkets near Daylesford to stock up on your favourite pods.
Q. Can we swim in the dam?
A. Guests at The Welcome Paddock are welcome to swim in the dam if you choose. Please note that the dam is unfenced, and we strongly recommend that children and infants are supervised at all times for their safety.
Q. Are pets allowed at the Welcome Paddock?
A. We are delighted to welcome your furry friends! 🐾 Dogs are allowed, and we provide a secure outdoor area for their comfort. To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone, we kindly ask that pets are not allowed on beds, sofas, or soft furnishings and are never left unattended. For their safety and to protect our local wildlife, please keep your dog on a leash when exploring the paddock.
Q. What kind of BBQ do you have?
A. We provide a gas BBQ for your outdoor cooking enjoyment. There will always be a gas bottle attached with available gas, and a nearby spare is ready if needed. Please ensure the entire bottle is used before switching the bottle over.
Q. Can I get an early checkin and/or late checkout?
A. We understand that flexibility can enhance your stay at The Welcome Paddock. Early check-ins and late check-outs may be available depending on bookings before and after your stay. We’ll always do our best to accommodate requests made but recommend guests book an extra day before or after for ultimate convenience and guarantee.
Q. What Internet service is available?
A. The internet at The Welcome Paddock is provided via Starlink, offering a generally fast and reliable connection. However, as it relies on satellite connectivity, it may occasionally be affected by weather conditions. Please note that we have no control over internet connectivity and do not offer refunds for any internet-related issues during your stay.
Q. Can we use the wood fire and how much wood is provided?
A. Guests at The Welcome Paddock are welcome to use the wood fire, but please pay attention to our local fire restriction dates and any advice updated daily on the CFA website. The wood fire is not our primary source of heating, but we’re happy to provide a good supply of kindling, wood, firelighters, and ignition to get you started. If you need more wood during your stay, you can purchase additional supplies from Daylesford Mitre 10, Daylesford Hardware, Coles Express, BP, or even some roadside honesty box stalls nearby.
