"We had an absolutely amazing stay at this beautiful home outside Pentwater, Michigan. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the peaceful setting surrounded by acres of private woods—it felt like our own secluded retreat.The house itself was spotless and felt brand new, with fresh finishes and beautiful, modern furniture throughout. The rooms are incredibly spacious, offering plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The views were spectacular—we enjoyed both sunrise and sunset over the lake, which made every day feel magical. The fire pit area was a favorite hangout, especially with free firewood provided (a great bonus!). Inside, the cozy fireplace made evenings extra relaxing. Fast, reliable internet kept us connected when needed, and the ample parking made it easy for everyone to come and go.We also took full advantage of the kayaks to explore the peaceful lake, and the quiet, natural surroundings made it an unforgettable experience. There was so much wildlife around including Eagles and deer and we really enjoyed taking it all in.Truly one of the best vacation rentals we’ve ever stayed at—clean, comfortable, private, and so thoughtfully equipped. We can’t wait to come back!"

"The Eagles Nest at the Blue Heron Resort on Diamond Lake is not for everyone but we loved it. I say not for everybody in part because you need to take a series of stairs including nearly 30 steps to reach the cabin from the parking space provided. While we (both in our 70's) didn't have a problem, others may well prefer few stairs. The cabin is also not fancy or modern and has a few quirks including a noticeable slant towards the lake. But all that being said, the Eagle's Nest had everything we wanted and needed and more. It was clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable. It was well equipped for the several meals we prepared and ate at the cottage. It had a nice hot tub right outside the door. It came with the free use of kayaks. It was quiet and peaceful (being there in May no doubt helped with that as there were only a few boats on the lake and no guests at the resort's other building which sits on a bluff overlooking the Eagle's Nest cabin). And finally, the views of the lake from both inside the cabin and especially from the attached deck were stunning and included some beautiful sunrises. We spent plenty of time just sitting, relaxing and looking....taking it all in....the beauty, the peace, the quiet....all from what is appropriately named the Eagle's Nest. "

"The cottage was clean and very well organized, with everything we needed for our stay. The location was perfect! The beautiful sandy beach was right down the stairs! We enjoyed long walks on the beach and watching the sunset from the beach on warm days, or from the living room on cooler days! "

"My family and I stayed for a weekend in the off season, and we had a very nice time. Erick is very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the area, able to answer any questions you might have. The cottage is situated in a neighborhood, so it's ideal for those who want to have a quiet stay and aren't planning to get up to too much rowdiness. The neighborhood private beach access is just a short drive or brisk walk down the road, and we got there just in time to see a stunning Lake Michigan sunset. As the listing says, the bathroom is quite small, so it might be close quarters for a big group with lots of kids who all want to take showers etc., but if you're looking for a cozy and relaxing spot close to the lake, it's perfect."

"It was first time there; and very clean and well kept hotel. Everyone was very friendly. Only couple things I would change. 1. The binder they give you with the information was completely covered in coffee stains. 2. The event calendar they had in binder was from 2019, so maybe an update on that. 3. The shower curtain wouldn’t stay closed on the side so the water kept making a huge puddle outside the tub. 4. Maybe keep and extra blanket in room as well. "
