"We stayed in the Kedelston room which was a lovely cosy room tastefully decorated and had all the extras that maybe required. Iron, ironing board, hair dryer, toiletries and sewing kit. The bar offered a cocktail menu along the usual drinks you would expect. We dined in the restaurant which had a nice atmosphere. The food was good quality and tasty and reasonably priced. All in all we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this place to others."

"This is a lovely friendly pub with excellent staff. The locals were welcoming as well. The beer brewed on the premises was excellent as was the food. I can't fault our stay there. Plenty of parking at the pub now, with a new car park. Handy travel time to Critch, Matlock and the Peak District. Located on the side of a steep hill, so walking anywhere is a good bit of exercise!"

"We had a family room, 3 adults and 2 children, at the last minute we had to bring the dog, Lorraine was very accommodating, we stayed for 2 nights and only got charged £10 extra for the dog, the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was lovely, would definitely stay here again. The room was spacious and comfortable and the entire lodge is well decorated with attention to detail including the music in the Drawing Room, information about the local area and amenities in guest rooms. "Hilary and Graham are very welcoming. We were contacted before arrival with directions. They even had a pot of tea ready when we arrived which was very much appreciated. A nice comfy bed and ample en-suite bathroom. The cooked breakfast was really good with homemade fresh bread!!! We will definitely stay again."
