Wonderful Shawnigan Retreat
Spent two nights at the property with my husband. Our hosts, Nancy and Brad, were so kind and hospitable. We got freshly made muffins, bread and a fridge stocked with eggs from their chickens, milk, yogurt and juice. The accommodations were spacious, clean and felt like home away from home. We fed the alpacas and chatted with the hosts. Great stay and can’t say enough good things about Nancy and Brad. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!

Shawnigan oasis
From the moment we walked in the property was beautiful, and tranquil. Everything was provided from farm fresh eggs to muffins delivered in the morning still warm. The care, and attention to guest experience was evident in the details around the space. Our daughter loved the animals on the property. (we even got a chance to feed them!) We will definitely be returning.

Quiet Retreat

Shawnigan stay
My sister and I stayed for two nights. Nancy and Brad are very thoughtful hosts with the breakfast supplies and snacks they put together before our arrival. Check in was easy and the space was bigger than expected. Location is close to Merridale and Unsworth as well as places to swim.

Super clean and spacious walkout basement suite with beautiful view.
Online description was very accurate and the host and hostess clearly care for their property. I had the added bonus of fresh baked muffins delivered as a checkin surprise. Top drawer place all around.

This was a lovely place to stay! Very clean and comfortable, really cozy beds, and everything you need for a great breakfast, including fresh baked muffins and scones. We loved watching the sheep and alpaca in the backyard over breakfast. This is a great place for kids. The location was perfect for visiting nearby hikes, wineries, and the lake. It's a very easy drive to get into Victoria city as well. Definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for a unique and special place to stay on Vancouver Island.
