Fourth of July in Shaver - Fernwood cabin
The cabin was very cute and had a large patio great for outdoor hang out. Walking distance into town, close drive to lake and provided everything one needs for comfortable stay. If Staying during the hot season just know this cabin has no A/C. Would definitely return :)

Good place. Attention to detail could make it great.
Roomy place in a great location. Loved the beautiful surroundings. Disappointed with the lack of cleanliness upon arrival. The kitchen could be better equipped with the type of cooking utensils needed for a large group. The trash piled up on the deck for the week, which lead to bear visits…on the deck. The bedding is stained and ripped on multiple beds. Made the best of it and enjoyed our stay, but would like to see improvements.

Amazing!
We loved this cabin! The location is amazing and the cabin is so cozy. It has everything you need and there’s little to none cars/people passing. The stores are super close and the trail to the lake too. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

Great stay
Everything was very clean. We will definitely come back. If you plan to cook a lot, you may wish to bring extra knives, cutting board, etc. The kitchen had limited supplies.

Nice private house
House is comfortable and very private, but you can walk to 'town' in few minutes. GPS takes you to neighbors house so if arriving at night it might take a minute to figure out which is the correct house. I'd definitely rent it again

This home is a hidden gem. We were so impressed by how clean and comfortable it was. It's on a large lot that backs up to the forest so there is no one behind you. All you see is trees....and a deer or two. We stayed for a much needed weekend away. This place is very updated and the kitchen is easy to cook in. Town is walking distance. Stay here. You wont regret it.

Weekend in the snow
Our families planned a weekend get-away to take the kids playing in the snow. The cabin was cute and rustic. We enjoyed all the wood paneling and cedar beam ceilings. The bathrooms were clean, but the bed sheets were really dirty with hair, grime, and blood stains. The nightstands and closets were filled with the owners personal belonging, shaving razors, medications, and paperwork. The kitchen was an organizational nightmare with a crazy assortment of pots, bowls, serving-ware crammed into each cabinet. Tons of plates and cups stacked in each upper cabinet. The silverware and knives were dirty. The toaster was broken. Coffee maker did not work and the garbage disposal was also not working which caused to sink to back up. But the worst part was the entire mountain was on a “boil water notice” that required us to boil any tap water- when either brushing teeth, washing plates or preparing our meals we could not use tap water without boiling it. No notice was given to us before the trip so we were completely unprepared. Not having drinkable water is something Vrbo and the rental agency should have notified us about. It is extremely disappointing that we were not given this information and it made our trip much more difficult. We still have not heard back from the rental agency (Vacasa) other than “we are sorry for the inconvenience”. We will not rent a cabin that is managed by that company ever again and we caution anyone else who would consider using them.

We loved our stay here. It was the perfect location for quick access to the lake and the horse stables. The house and property were beautiful and perfect for our group of 6 adults and 3 kids.

Ideal location with large back property for children to play. Could easily walk to the lake or store. Great restaurants available close by for pizza and burgers. Tried to message "host" twice-no response. Had to on-line chat with someone who did not have any information for us.
