CUTE 2B/1B CABIN IN THE WEST VILLAGE ON MADRONE LANE

This charming recently remodeled 2 bedroom 1 bathroom cabin located in the West Village features all the amenities you could want as a getaway. Inside the front door, you enter into the dining room area with a table to feed 4 comfortably. The dining room is also open to the living room which has a comfortable couch, recliner, a large flat screen TV and a vintage chest with extra pillows and blankets. We have set up Dish TV and all your basic satellite channels. Broadband internet is a must in this modern age, so don't worry about staying connected with our complimentary WIFI. THE NEW IKEA KITCHEN has ample cabinet and counter space with all new stainless steel appliances. THE NEW IKEA BATHROOM has new cabinets, a new sink, flooring and more. Inside the 1st bedroom we have a comfortable queen size bed with a closet. Inside the 2nd bedroom you have another queen size bed, again with a closet for your belongings. Outside, there are two decks, one off the dining area and the other outside the sliding glass door. We also have a BBQ for guests to use (bring your own briquettes!) Within walking distance to the lake (a trek for some people), the town of Shaver, and all the restaurants. This cabin is great to get out of the heat and into the pines! Also a great snow getaway in the winter months. Reserve your getaway today!

Shaver Lake is a great town to come and getaway from the hustle of city life. At 5500 feet elevation, the air is cool and the sun is warm. We have many local events; some of the best 4th of july Fireworks, The Black Pot Event, Climb to Kaiser, The Loggers Jamboree, The Car Show, The Wild Run, China Peak's Mud Run, The High Sierra Regatta and so much more. There is great fishing, hiking, biking trails, horse back riding, kayaking, wake boarding, water skiing, snow boarding, snow skiing, and so much more.

Was really nice and cozy very clean and well maintained could use heating in the rooms it’s a bit cold during the colder weathers. Also could use better lighting in the rooms it’s a bit dark. Over all it’s a really nice place to stay and sleep.

The cabin was great, very clean and the area was really quiet, very close to the town and a short drive to the lake, the owners definitely take care of this place, I had no issues getting in and everything inside was immaculate and well taken care of, me and my 6 year old had a great time here! 5 stars

weekend get-away
This cozy cabin was perfect for myself and my two adult daughters. the bedrooms were very comfortable , the bathroom was large for a small cabin and the kitchen was well supplied and handy to use! we stayed from Friday till Sunday afternoon and really enjoyed the cabin. the nights were cool but the heater worked great to keep us very comfortable. I would stay there again.

Nice quiet few days.
Adequate for two people. All rooms tidy and clean and plenty of towels provided. Kitchen clean except for the stove oven (very grease stained/splattered and not scrubbed for months/perhaps years). Use of entry to property outside key box was not adequately explained other than providing the security code. Couldn’t open the key box until we had to force it open to access the keys. After that, we enjoyed our quiet visit and being close to town and the lake.

Interesting Cabin
Phone does not work, it is dead. The place was great had everything we needed. I would suggest raising the bedroom floors to the living room floor, the steep step is dangerous and unnecessary. Also directions should explain that the key fits the sliding glass backdoor not the front door. The driveway is very steep and could use gravel or paving. Large parking area was great.

My favorite family vacation
We just stayed here for 4 days this last weekend and it was our favorite family vacation so far. My kids 4 & 6 had such a great time! When we arrived the property was covered in beautiful untouched snow and my kids have never seen snow before! We got to enjoy snow play without even leaving the cabin. My children slept in one room and my husband and I in the other. The beds were perfect size for 2 and comfortable and warm. We really enjoyed the living room fire place as well. Everything was clean and the kitchen had all cooking utensils we needed as we cooked all of our meals there. My favorite part was watching the sunset each night from the kitchen table. The view is AMAZING. The neighborhood was very quiet and great for going on walks. The owners were also very easy to contact when we had questions about anything. We hope to come back again someday!

Cabin needs a thorough deep cleaning
We liked the layout of the cabin with two bedrooms. We felt the entire place needed a good cleaning. The mantel had items on it that were obviously dusted around, not moved. Corners of the room are dusty and not vacuumed in a long time. The vacuum cleaner doesn't work well, despite OUR removing the dustbin and cleaning the filter. The carpet has sharp tacks protruding where it meets the tile in the kitchen. Carpet hasn't been cleaned in ages or is so badly stained it can't be cleaned. The dishes/pots&pans/glasses etc. are really old chipped and mismatched. Food in storage containers (and in some cases the original package) were in such quantity, there was little room for our own groceries in the cabinets. Sorry for the tough review but as a previous cabin owner, I expected better.

Great place! The hosts were so helpful and very responsive. It didn't impact our enjoyable stay, but there were a couple of stains on the carpet. We didn't find a shot class, so we bought a couple of them and left them for our next stay and other groups who will enjoy this cabin as much as we did. We will be back!!

Quiet Get Away Weekend
Kitchen had everything you could want, heater worked amazing and nice bathroom. WIFI and TV was a wonderful bonus. Little deck was cute. Plenty of towels available. Beds were VERY hard and pushed against the wall. I ended up sleeping on the couch. Need better lighting in the bathroom/shower. The step in/out of the bedrooms is difficult. Overall, great time.
