The Steamer was good accommodation, clean, tidy and good location. Parking is a bit of a chore but close.

Fantastic view from our room and the terraces, easy to walk to Shanklin or Sandown or use the buses. Its about time the woodchip was removed and the carpet replaced in the bedroom, but it was otherwise great as was the bathroom. Balcony had great sea view.
Food in restaurant was consistently good.

Thank you for looking after me during my stay! Food was delicious! A Must visit for a wonderful experience.
I was made to feel very comfortable as a lady solo traveller, everyone was very friendly especially the lady that served the breakfast. The food was amazing and being seated in a nice little table in the corner was perfect for me and I didn't feel isolated.... thank you so much. The view was amazing from the balcony and so nice to hear the waves whilst in bed. Will definitely be back, great stay!!
Perfect location looking across the Esplanade to the sea front. Excellent food served all day in a relaxed atmosphere by attentive staff. This great venue attracted a lot on non-resident customers and there was a real buzz as guests enjoyed their relaxed meal eating great food and enjoying a wide variety from the bar.. As residents we were recognised and welcomed and felt very looked after. This was a great base to explore the Island from,
I am on my own having lost my husband a few months ago and travelling on my own is a challenge at the moment, everyone made me welcome and feel safe ,staff very attentive and happy I felt very special
First time in Isle of Wight.
3 day stay in The Steamer Inn with my twin sister.
The sea view twin room with balcony was very good for what we needed and was clean and presentable.
Breakfast was good with waitress service.
Staff very friendly and accommodating to our needs.
Restaurant very popular throughout the day and night and the meals we had were very good with fresh ingredients and a variety of choices.
Ideal location for direct access to the beach.
Lift or shuttle bus to Shanklin town and local attractions if you don’t fancy the steep walk.
With regular buses to other parts of island too.
Overall a very enjoyable stay at The Steamer Inn.
Off season visit but the Steamer was really cosy. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was immaculately clean and the view over the bay fabulous. A real gem and will definitely be back

A beautiful location, friendly helpful staff, adequate breakfast but could offer cereals as an alternative to cooked.
More comfortable chairs needed in the guest rooms.
Lovely place to stay. Room was spotless and comfy. Bed very comfortable. Had a balcony which overlooked the Esplanade which was nice. Breakfast and meals were excellent quality and had breakfast overlooking the beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
A lovely break away, would recommend and visit again.
We had a lovely stay at The Steamer Inn. We were off season so it was quiet and very chilled. The staff were so lovely and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. It was just a very nice experience.
When we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and all information was well explained. We found all the staff very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The food was excellent and very plentiful. There were a nice selection of real ales at the bar. Nice sea views from the room.
Location perfect with stunning sea views. Staff really helpful and friendly. Food very good. Very good value for money. Only criticism would be that the rooms are a bit dated. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel and we will be staying here again in the future.
Wonderful, friendly staff. Rooms very clean but a bit tired. Breakfast was fab and very filling. Food in general very good and big portions. Would definitely recommend and we look forward to going back at some point.
We were there to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary as we stayed there 50years ago, and a few times since, the last time in the 90s.We have been coming back every year since, we just love the Island, we had the best time and staff were lovely, so helpful and friendly, food was fantastic too.So thank you Georgina and staff for having and looking after us
Lovely seafront pub with rooms above. Very popular for meals which are excellent with a big choice at reasonable prices. Rooms not spacious but comfortable and clean. Excellent balcony overlooking the sea in some rooms. Staff efficient and very friendly. Live music at weekends but not overly noisy. a bit of a walk to the old or new town but there is a cliff lift to help. Would definitely stay again.
