My husband and I stayed at 4 Mile and it was wonderful. The accommodations were great and the hosts were so kind and hospitable. Their breakfast was delicious down to the homemade jelly.

Our hosts Lorraine and Russell were delightful and the room/bathroom were impeccably clean with everything we needed for our stay. Please be aware that the guest rooms are in the hosts home. The dining room has all that you need as far as snacks and drinks to make your stay comfortable and they provided a nice breakfast. It was exactly the location needed for our short visit. Thanks Lorraine & Russell!

Weekend family trip
Excellent place. Great neighborhood, nicely decorated room, very comfortable bed. Cable TV in the room with a spacious bathroom. Drinks, snack and ice provided. The host couple is very friendly, on-site and provided everything we needed for our stay. The full hot breakfast was better than most all of the local restaurants and they provided everything one could want to be fully satisfied. We will definitely stay here again. You will not be disappointed!!!

I am a well traveled individual and I can say without hesitation that this is certainly a great place to stay. First of all, Russell and Loretta are a fantastic host, the room was clean, spacious, quite and has more goodies included that most 5 stars hotels don't even offer, bed was super comfy, plenty of light, good air circulation from the two ceiling fans, no smell. I need to know the secret why the stairs don't make any squeaky noise! (Rose Room). Bathroom is spacious and has an abundance of amenity included, instant hot water! Best thing of my stay was the Southern alarm clock, waking up to the delicious smell of bacon :) I had an all around great experience and I couldn't have ask for more. If you are in the area forgot the hotels, stay at the Four Mile B&B

B&B was great. We came to the beach a day early and needed a place to stay until our rental was available. Found Four Mile on Expedia. The cost was better than reasonable. The property was great, well decorated and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic, eggs, bacon, fruit, muffins, bread and more. Owners were friendly and welcoming. When we left, it was like we were saying goodbye to old friends. Highly recommend Four Mile B&B if you are looking for a place to stay, in the Shallotte/Ocean Isle area.

A clean, comfortable room with everything we needed and even a few nice touches like candy and snacks. The room had a mini refrigerator, a ceiling fan, and many channels to choose from on the TV. The room was pleasantly decorated and neat. The breakfast was wonderful! Hot and plentiful. The hosts were very nice. We were allowed to use the living room and front and back porches if we wanted. The location was perfect. The property was well maintained.
