We were wowed at Sockeye House. It was very roomy for 9 people, so clean and the host was very responsive. Perfect location. Everything was a 5 to 20 minute walk from the house. Highly recommend a couple of days in Seward if you are doing Alaska.
The home was lovely. Very spacious and nicely decorated. Our bed was so comfortable and I loved the walk-in shower! This was our first trip to Alaska, and we had a great time!
Very beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable home and close to everything in Seward. Fantastic views from the awesome decks! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, wish it was longer.
Our family came to Seward to fish and hike and this house was just perfect for our group! It was very comfortable, the kitchen was nicely furnished and the location was ideal. We highly recommend Sockeye House!
The house was large and roomy and very clean! Mary Beth was an excellent host and very responsive! I would highly recommend staying here if you are in Seward.
We had a wonderful stay in this property. The host was by far the most helpful and caring host I've encountered. She provided plenty of suggestions of places to eat, things to do, and a little insider information that helped us to save time and enjoy all Seward had to offer.
Overall a really great location and stay.
What a wonderful home. Very updated beautiful home in a great location. Walkable to town yet very quiet and peaceful. Great huge kitchen for gatherings and cozy private bedrooms. Can’t wait to return.
we had plenty of room, great open space kitchen, multiple bathrooms, laundry facility, great location to the docks, very clean, the place was perfect for what we needed
thanks
House was very clean and comfortable. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to do in Seward. For our family it was great to be able to walk to the Alaska Sea Life Center, Resurrect Art Coffee house and the Harbor, as well as the Seward Outdoor Store and a nearby shuttle stop.
We loved staying in this beautiful home. The host was friendly and accommodating. The home was spacious and fully equipped with everything we needed and so convenient to the Seward Free Shuttle! We stayed in three homes on our Alaskan journey, and this was my favorite!
We very much enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were wonderful and fit our families well. The house was very open and had plenty of space for entertaining and to sleep our family and extended family (6 adults and 6 children). The home had all the essentials and was well equipped. We look forward to staying again in the future. Thank you!
This property is amazing. It is truly a home away from home. It was clean, welcoming and meet all of our needs. There were 6 of us that stayed at the house and we had plenty of space for all to have privacy and comfort. We will be back!!
Stayed in the Sockeye house for 3 days prior to sailing on a cruise. 6 senior adults.
Wonderful, well equipped and laid out house with lots of room. Its location is just so convenient to restaurants & attractions! Love Mary Beth and her handling of the rental. The only problem we had was in getting the TV to work, but Mary Beth responded to address the situation immediately! Wonderful house, wonderful hostess!
This is a fantastic location for easy access to restaurants, excursions, and hiking. It is brand new and extremely clean. We stayed with our young kids and had a wondeful stay. Everyone slept well and comfortably. The kitchen is amazing, and although we choose not to cook on this leg of our trip, has everything you would need. We enjoyed walking to the cutest coffee shop thats just one block down, ordering Delicious Thai food for dinner, and taking advantage of some great nearby hikes. The hosts were super helpful and went above and beyond! We could walk to so much! Would definitely reccomend!
Place was beautiful and spacious. Gave us a place to unwind after a long drive. Oven does take a while to heat up. No USB ports in bedrooms to use phones for clocks. All windows have blinds but would help travelers to have curtains to pull as well. I would recommend a light in living room that is not over head, or that are dimmable.
Overall would stay again!
It was difficult to check out at 10 am. Originally it was set up for a 11am checkout on our itenerary. I dont remembering it changing so it was chanllenging to pack up and leave.
Went to the Resurrection coffee shop...quit, but a wait...
Booked a halibut charter for one of my biggest clients out of Seward and chose to stay at the Sockeye House as it looked big enough to accommodate 5 of us. Our fishing trip was cancelled due to inclement ocean conditions but the stay at the Sockeye house made up for it! We enjoyed our time in Seward and Mary Beth was super responsive and the house was so nice we enjoyed our trip even if we couldn't fish! Very clean and MB even brought us some cookies and communicated very clearly on expectations. House had plenty of space and privacy for everyone and we really enjoyed it! Would stay again!
One of the best homes we’ve stayed in over the years and many travels. The extra special touches that Mary Beth provides puts this house on the top of our list. Perfect set up for our group of 4 couples. We would choose this home again!
