Please read full description as Douglas Lake is a fluctuating lake and lake levels are seasonal.

Completely remodeled Douglas Lake Front Cabin. This cabin is within 25 minutes to Pigeon Forge / Dollywood area and 30 minutes to Gatlinburg / Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Our cabin consists of 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Living room has fireplace and the kitchen is well equipped with all the necessary items. Large outdoor patio area with screen porch. The patio area is equipped with table and chairs that overlooks the lake and is partially covered for when you want a little shade or if it's raining. There is also a fire pit on the patio which is great for making smores after a long day exploring Douglas Lake. There is a charcoal grill, for your use. Master bedroom has access to a large deck overlooking Douglas lake. There is a boat ramp on-site for those who wish to bring their own boat. There is also a private dock.

Douglas Lake is a fluctuating lake.Its levels are controlled by the Tennessee Valley Authority. The typical off season runs from September thru Mid-April. During the off season the lake levels can drop approximately 40'. Please email your questions regarding lake accessibility during these times before booking.

Great stay. Clean, cozy, and off the beaten path. It would be a great place to stay- especially in the summer! For sure try to check in during the daylight hours. It is hard to find in the dark. 😊

My family stayed for an extended weekend. We loved the cabin. It was definitely an off the grid kind of trip with barely any cell service. It was nice to just relax but also be close to everything Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have to offer.

Great Location
Wonderful spot for vacation. We enjoyed fishing everyday from the dock, and kayaks on the lake. We did two days in Dollywood, a day in Gatlinburg and a day in Pigeon Forge. The rest of the time was spent at the cabin -fishing, reading on the screen porch, and relaxing. The property manager very quickly responded to questions and was extremely nice! Highly recommend.

The cabin was cozy and loved it. It was hard to find in the dark because the gps took us to an empty lot. Needs signs to guide people to the cabin. Check I. Was easy as well as check out. Had to message manager several times and they were quick to respond.

Cabin on the lake.
Pros- cozy, updated kitchen and bathroom, beautiful location. Cons - Lake was too low to fish. I asked the host about fishing and I wish he was more honest about the water levels. Coffee makers were disgusting and did not use. We were not there much because of water levels being low. We decided to explore the area with family instead.

Wonderful relaxing place to unwind and recharge.
Beautiful setting for a getaway from hustle and bustle of the city. We enjoyed our stay. The lake and the Smokey’s are so pretty. Our only complaints was the shower was small with very little water pressure and the beds are uncomfortable. Other than that, nice cozy cabin. Everything was clean and well organized. Thanks

I was looking so forward to fishing in the lake. The lake was dried up and no water for a quarter mile! This was the whole reason reason for getting a cabin by the lake owner didn't mention lake was dried up or we wouldn't have stayed there. Also killed 4 spiders in the cabin one was a brown recluse!

Cabin for younger people only
Our stay was very pleasant and our hosts were very kind and friendly; however, there were some issues that weren't identified until it was too late to cancel. Based on the listing description and photos, we thought this was a single level cabin. Unfortunately there was a Very Steep step down into the master bedroom and no handrail for assistance. If you have any disability with your knees, hip or back, I don't recommend this cabin. Also, we were not aware that they drained the lake starting in Sept, so there was no lake/dock for us to enjoy. We were also advised we could not use the fireplace which was one of the amenities we were looking forward too, but unable to use. There was no where to put your belongings, so living out of your suitcase while on the floor was the only option. Finally, there is a beautiful oak tree outside of the master bedroom, so be prepared for those acorns to land on the roof...all night long. I recommend bringing your own cookware or eating out as some of the frying pans are quite old, scratched and stained from previous guests. Overall this is a cozy little cabin, but with a few upgrades it would be a charming place to go back to...at least in the summer when the lake returns.

Professional cleaning was not good at all. First morning got up to enjoy coffee and sunrise. Coffee pot had old used filter and coffee left in that was gross, spent over hour cleaning it. Fixed breakfast plates had food on them had to wash. Keurig needed cleaning also. Living room furniture could be better. Last evening of trip mowing people showed up right at time when go out to enjoy outside. For the most part nice little house to stay in.
