Very nice place to stay!
We had 12 people, ages 1-57 and had a wonderful time! The cabin was big enough for everyone and had plenty of games to keep kids occupied. I would suggest if you’re bringing a curious little one to pack baby gates (at least one) and outlet covers (not complaining they weren’t there but it would’ve helped to already have them!) overall, we had a wonderful stay and loved seeing all the wildlife

The cabin is amazing. Area is really quiet. Lots of privacy. Close to a lot of things. 30 minutes to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We had an amazing time. There were 7 of us and lots of room.

Great Stay
The cabin was large and gave our family of 9 plenty of space to spread out. Not too far from things to do. The drive up to the cabin is very steep.

Big home, and HUGE hills
Plenty of play space for kids, and hang out space for adults. Massive jacuzzi tub and a hot tub. Property sits at the.bottom of a steep drive way! The road getting to the cabin is very steep. Beaware when arriving after dark!

This house was like a slice of heaven. The views were amazing. House had sooo much room to completely relax. Yes- steep road-however, totally worth it the moment you entered the home. Just a little issue with TV in great room - otherwise, perfect. Thank you for allowing us to stay at this beautiful home. Great for small & large families. 🤗

So disappointed
Beautiful cabin clean however, the electrical in this cabin is very dangerous lights flicker. The breaker gets tripped. The hot tub has two working jets and that’s it. The plumbing under the sink isn’t connected properly. We found this out after having the dishwasher flood the kitchen and then washing dishes by hand letting the water out. It flooded all over the kitchen also. The stove is glass top and where you press the button buttons to turn it on and off and work, the oven caves in. The door to the workout room doesn’t lock the TV and the little kids cabin doesn’t come on at all. on the brighter side, they do keep in touch with you but nothing gets fixed or done they refunded not even a quarters worth of what one day cost to rent it. Very poor communication after you check out and want answers to a more reasonable refund

Would definitely rent this cabin again
We were having a family reunion with my grown kids and young grandkids - 8 adults and 2 children. The house was a perfect size for our group. Having the bedrooms spread among the three levels gave everyone their own space, and the common areas were big enough for us all to eat, watch movies, sit on the deck, etc together. The kids enjoyed the play area outside. The adults enjoyed the pool table, dart boards, gym, etc. The house was clean and equipped with everything we needed. The surroundings were beautiful and the view from the deck was amazing. It's a steep drive up the mountain to the cabin but only takes a few minutes from the main road. The only drawbacks were that the hot tub needed some TLC. And the PacMan game didn't work. Overall, we loved the house. If we return to the area, we would for sure try to get Bear Cub Crossing again. Highly recommend.

Bears!
The evening of our arrival we saw a Mama Bear and her four cubs, up close! The next morning we saw a different Mama and Five cubs, right off the balcony, playing and romping around (I suggest looking out the window before heading to your car😜)! There were 12 of us and plenty of seating. Lots of activities. The washer/dryer and four bathrooms was a plus! As long as Vacasa took care of the repairs, it is a great place to stay! The kids cabin is so cute and fun (bring some play kitchen stuff). There was a bag of new darts sitting on the bench -thumbs up! The chalkboard was taken down; a plus for us since blue chalk doesn't come out of anything. Lol Be aware, the drive to the cabin is very... Steep, narrow, and NOT for the faint of heart. Expect a few adrenaline rushes on the way in and out. I suggest four wheel drive, but we made it in a mini-van and Lincoln as long as it was dry. Nice cabin for a family stay and getaway!

Great stay with numerous bear sitings
Cabin was as described and wonderful for our family. Plenty of room to spread out and everyone have some privacy. We had a couple of minor issues that were beyond owner’s control but got quick response from someone local and issues were resolved and that is really why I am giving this a10/10 because anytime you have a house whether you know issues are going to arise and it’s how those issues are resolved which can make or ruin your vacation. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub on a couple of cool nights and we saw a bear and 5 cubs right outside the cabin 3 different times. Driveway is steep but had no issues getting down or up. The view is decent but blocked in spring and summer by the trees/leafs and vegetation but we loved the location and amenities that were offered including the treadmill and free weights. We would definitely recommend this place and will check for availability the next time we visit Wears Valley which is in my opinion the best area to stay as it’s peaceful and quiet with a few good food options as we found food trucks on Wears Valley Road that had a lot of good food options. There were always a couple open during the week and 5 or 6 open on the weekends. Also like being able to use the back (less crowded) entrance to the National Park and Gatlinburg which is a beautiful drive along the river with a couple of nice short hikes along the way.

Great location and amount of space but property lacked upkeep and doesn’t match pictures
I can start off saying that this property is very secluded. It is windy and very hilly get up to property and straight downhill driveway. The house had plenty of space and amenities to keep you busy. There were several downfalls of this place though. The pictures compared to space were disappointing. There were several issues such as lack of cooking supplies, broken fence on porch, broken patio door, horrible lighting in basement, broken door to living room bathroom, tv in master bedroom not even working. We saw speakers by hot tub that we wanted to use and were told later on that we couldn’t use them. Table with fire pit didn’t work at all. It honestly needed a lot of work done. Couldn’t even use fireplaces inside at this time of year even thought it was getting cold outside. The stove had broken glass inside that needed repair. The house slept 15 yet the trash outside only held 3 large bags of trash. We had to leave the rest of trash inside sitting to smell. The pictures are deceiving with size such as living room much smaller than we thought. Kids wanted to play on playground but they couldn’t due to a ton of spiders. Same exact issue with hot tub area. Several spiders everywhere you look. The maintaining with bugs was lacking. Overall, the property was beautiful and held our needs but price was not worth it. We will definitely be finding a newer property based on the price we paid for this.

Great for bigger groups / Saw bears within 45 minutes!
Overall we had such a good trip! The drive up to the cabin is intense, but as long as your tires are good & you’re a confident driver you should be fine. Major hairpin turns & very VERY steep sections on the last 5 minutes to the cabin. We saw a momma & two baby bears sniffing our cars within 45 minutes of getting into the cabin! When we first arrived, the two rooms upstairs were warm but definitely cooled off a ton as the night when on, you may want to bring a fan if you’re coming in the summer months! The kids area with the bunk beds are SO cute & my kids loved it. Lots of toys & twinkle lights in the ceiling. The water pressure in all the bathrooms is SO GOOD! And there were 2-3 massive jetted bathtubs as well. A very good spot for a big group. We had a few issues with getting into the cabin once we arrived & a few other minor problems that I’ll contact the owner about that should be easy fixes. But overall we did have a very good stay!

Could have been better
This property was disappointing in its cleanliness as well as upkeep. Many things falling apart. Toilet paper holder falling off of wall, dirty tissues left between washer and dryer. Dryer door not closing tightly. We could not even vacuum up after ourselves because the small vacuum did not work. I would have appreciated knowing cleaning products were not included. No instructions anywhere to use tv’s . Old bottle caps and stirrers on deck. Beautiful place but definitely needs some simple maintenance. The road up is a bit treacherous too. Not sure how hard it is to leave instructions

Bears bears bears
The drive up like others have said is very steep. The cabin was cleaned well, however, the filters look like they haven't been changed in months. There was plenty of space for our family of 11, but the multi-level was difficult on the older generation and they complained there were no TV's in the upstairs bedroom. The kitchen was well stocked however, the dishwasher was unusable the entire trip and no one came to fix it. Other reviews in the log book in the cabin complained about this as well. It is completely covered in mold. For someone who wants a vacation from having to clean and do dishes BY HAND this was a nightmare, especially for a mom of 5. But the bears were amazing. They came and played almost every single day. I would have given it a 3 stars but those bears make up for it.

My family has rented cabins yearly for over a decade and this one was the worst, by far. Dirty, dusty, and no maintained at all. There were beer caps in the window box of the children’s sleep area. It looked like there was urine on the beam bag. Showers were disgusting - full of little black, curly hairs. Gross! There were half finished wood projects on the porch next to the dirty hot tub. Furniture was broken throughout the house. We were given the wrong code to get in the house which took nearly an hour to correct. Loved seeing my family and spending time in the Smokies but the cabin was AWFUL! When I reached out to customer service it took hours and they said the best they could do was tell me sorry and that they’ll try to clean it before the next people.

A weekend to remember
Our extended family of 10 had a blast in this cabin. There was PLENTY of space for all of us to spread out (3 full floors), tv's and electric fireplaces galore. We enjoyed the 2nd floor porch area with the firetop tables, hot tub and swing...great space to watch the daily visits of the bears below. The ground level has a dart board, game area, pool table and giant couch in front of the big screen tv and fireplace....great gathering space (in addition to the one on the 2nd floor). Our beds and bedding were comfy and cozy, the hot water heater kept up with all our showering needs and the house itself is beautiful. We will definitely book again...so peaceful! Thanks. Giving 4 outta 5 stars because of some minor issues that can be easily rectified.

So many bears!!
Our group absolutely loved this cabin! We had plenty of room for 10 adults and still had extra space. One of the mornings, two bear cubs climbed up to the second story and walked around! Also, please be aware that the driveway is incredibly steep! We will absolutely be booking this house again, we had the best time here.

Great for Family gathering
We enjoyed our stay greatly. Plently of room for our family of 10. Never felt crowded always somewhere to be alone if desired. Short of plates, cups and silverware. Regular visits from bears. Drive in and out is STEEP.
