The covered wrap around porch features a hot tub, rocking chairs, swing, and a gas grill that all overlook beautiful Douglas Lake, which has some of the best views the Smokies have to offer! Your family can spend the days enjoying all the adventures that Douglas Lake has to offer, and your nights relaxing in all the modern comforts of home. Walking into the cabin you are greeted with hardwood throughout, a fully furnished kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, a kitchen island with sink, and all the modern comforts one comes to expect in a vacation property. This cabin comes with a seasonal wood burning fireplace, 55-inch flat screen TV, two full baths, and two master suites that each have a king size bed. The upstairs of the cabin has been set up to be an upper-level kids retreat with a custom set of queen size bunk beds, sleeper sofa, sitting area, pool table, multi-cade stand up arcade machine, and a flat screen 50-inch TV with DVD player. The kids can slip away into their own personal level in the third-floor loft area with TV and bed mats. Great Family Vacation!
The cabin was a great place to stay. My kids enjoyed the hot tub and my husband enjoyed fishing in the lake and I loved the view! The ladies working at Fireside Chalets were absolutely amazing and so nice.

A rainy Easter weekend
It was a great place to hangout and play! The rain kept us from going to Dollywood but we didn’t mind. There was plenty to do inside, great scenery, and much needed down time!

The cabin was all we hoped it would be: secluded and comfortable. The check-in was all done on line and we received our access code about 20 minutes before we arrived. Everything we needed was here, and grocery store not far. The view of the lake is amazing!

Great stay with an amazing view of the lake!
We had a great stay at Smoke on the water. Douglas Lake is such a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. This particular cabin is very cozy and has most of the basics you need. The only thing missing from this to be the perfect cabin was wifi and a fire pit for wood burning and smores. Other cabins we have stayed at on Douglas lake have those amminities. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay. Thank you for opening your home to us!

Check in was great. The cabin was amazing.
I would have given the cabin a 5 ⭐️ but it was very dusty. The window panes on the top and bottom are full of dust, the ceiling fans are full of dust actually the entire home had a lot of dust which caused two of the people in our party allergies to flare up really bad. Other than that everything was great.

Enjoyed this cabin alot
We stayed here for two weeks and enjoyed ourselves immensely. We relaxed and enjoyed the view. Was out on the dock many days soaking in the sun. Many days using the grill out side. We had an issue with the hotub and the management had someone out the very next morning to fix it. And we enjoyed it the rest of our stay in the hot tub. The cabin is nice and comfy only complaint there is my toddler running over my room in the loft made it sound like he was going to fall through but that's cabins for ya. Every cabin I've stayed at done that

Beautiful spot but needs some attention.
The cabin itself is in a beautiful setting and has a great layout. We did find the cabin in need of a good cleaning as well as the property. There was litter all along the path to the lake and a significant amount of garbage by a very broken fire pit near the dock. Most light fixtures needed new light bulbs, some were down to one working bulb. We woke one morning to no hot water. When we called to report the issues the staff was friendly and they came quickly to repair the water heater.

Cabin was great
Found on VBRO but really registration process was through Fire side chalets. Cabin was clean and everything was nice and enjoyed stay. Location on VBRO was not as listed. I was looking for cabins located on Muddy creek on Douglas to fish and have short boat runs everyday. This was shown as on Muddy creek which is why I rented it. However you do not get the actual address from Fireside chalets until day of check in which was after I paid a non refundable trip. They also don’t provide maps of their cabins on their website that I could find. This cabin was a 20 min boat ride to where I wanted to fish and was just up from Flatt creek near the dam instead of mid lake. Cabin was great and having marked trailer parking was a plus but wouldn’t have booked based upon location.

Beautiful lake view and access.
The cabin was just as described on VRBO. Very nice cabin with a beautiful view of the lake and very nice dock. The water depth in late June was 14’ perfect for swimming and docking a ski boat. I called early on the day of check in to ask about launching a boat and was pleasantly surprised to be allowed early check in. However, there are areas that could be improved. The beds in the loft were not very comfortable. Also, there was a board missing on the walkway to the dock which could be dangerous for older people and children. I received an email the day before check in saying that towels and paper products were limited and we should bring our own if planning on staying more than a couple of days. It would have been nice to know that when we booked or better yet to just have more provided by the owner. Over all I would recommend this rental, just be sure to bring towels and paper goods.

Lakefront Disappointment, Clean?
Our overall stay didn't meet our expectations, with a notable disappointment being the lake level, which had receded beyond the dock. Surprisingly, the listing didn't mention the seasonal fluctuations in lake levels despite advertising "private dock access" or "lake access." Moreover, the cleanliness of the cabin left much to be desired. Cobwebs were widespread in corners and around lighting fixtures, and it appeared that areas under the beds had been overlooked for some time. The loft was particularly unsatisfactory, containing dirty cotton swabs and trash left behind by previous occupants. Even minor details became frustrating; some TV remotes lacked batteries. Despite the onsite washer/dryer being a helpful amenity that allowed us to address some cleanliness issues ourselves, I cannot recommend staying here based on our overall experience.

Loved our stay.
We really enjoyed are stay. The place was very nice and clean. There were a couple things that could be improved. My husband was very disappointed that there were no ESPN stations on the TV. Also the box upstairs had the wrong remote and took us till the second day to realize it and could not use the upstairs TV until we figured that out. I feel that the people that go in and clean, should make sure that everything is working and in good order or not broke, and if it is they should notify someone to have it taken care of before the people coming to stay, get there. Checking in is after 4:30 and the address is not given until that time. Which also makes it difficult when coming from another state. But this still gives plenty of time for things to be corrected if there is an issue. Another thing is that one of the main reasons that I chose this cabin was for the view of the water that was supposed to be there, as that is the main picture of the cabin. The lake was pretty much empty. That was very disappointing. When we first got there. we looked at the beds and noticed that one of the beds had a little bit of a sag in the middle. This was very noticeable. When the other couple went to go to bed. the middle of the bed collapsed. I called the office and got the answering service. They notated the issue and said that they put in the system. When I called the next morning, it seemed like there was nothing notated at all about this. First of all, if there were people going in and cleaning, why would they not notice this and if they did, why was it not reported and fixed. The other couple had to sleep in this bed all night this way, That was not very comfortable for them to try to sleep without being on top of each other. 2nd, if I had not called back, I do not know if it would have gotten fixed that day and we had plans to be out most of the day. Other then those few things, we truly enjoyed our stay and would come back again

The views are what the pictures show. Gorgeous, especially in the fall. I was surprised the lake was drained and we weren’t informed so you couldn’t access water easily from the dock. We had a quick trip and it was perfect for our family.

Nice cabin with beautiful views.
Two bedrooms on the main floor each have their own bathroom. Upstairs was a neat hang out/game room. The loft up top was a favorite for my older kids and teens. BEWARE of the stairs. The stairs going down to the lake are pretty steep, not too easy with little kids. There is no beach area to get into the water, only a dock. Overall the trip was a lot of fun and we were happy with the cabin.

Relaxing, great location, we loved that we had our own private dock. Water was super clear and clean. The location was great for going into Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge. We rented a boat one day right on Douglas lake, super fun for all the family! Would definitely stay again, awesome family vacation!

Overall everything was great! Only thing I was not pleased with checkin process. They don’t give you the property address 10 min before check in which is not great for people who are traveling from different state! You have to put an address to drive for 8hrs to get here and we used their office address which is 45 min out of the way. I called the office and lady on the phone was kind enough to told me don’t come to office and gave me the property address which was 5 min before check in so we were able to turn around and head to the property! My son had a great time though which was worth it! I will definitely go back again though!
