BATS in our cabin
The first night that we were there we heard something in the cabin but just thought it was a mouse. The second night it was much louder and sounding like a bird in the house. We switched on the lights and had BATS flying all over the inside of the cabin. We called the emergency number and they said a man would come and check. He arrived shortly and was able to catch one of the BATS but couldn’t find anymore. He said that it was possible they were hiding in the Christmas tree. The after hours property manager called back and said they did not have another location to send us to because everything was booked. She told us to call the day property manager. I called them at opening time this morning and spoke with AMANDA. She told us there was nothing that she could do and since we were in the mountains that we should expect animals. I totally understand outside animals but I did not expect to spend the night with BATS that carry RABIES. I am calling the Sevier County Health Department in the morning and reporting Colonial Properties. They are not at all concerned with the safety of their guests. The cabin was called Keatons Knotty Hideaway. Please do not risk your health and safety by staying in this cabin. I have never dealt with a poorer property manager. Thank you AMANDA for ensuring such a pleasant and safe stay. In the future maybe you will have to deal with someone as compassionate, concerned and caring as yourself…..
