Weekend Getaway
It was beautiful and magical and all the things we were hoping a stay in the Smokey mountains would be! The view from the porch was amazing and even more beautiful in person. The cabin was so cozy and so nice to either spend the evening in or come back too after a night out. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful Place
The house was super cute and views were majestic. The property management could use some upgrades. Difficulty with getting clear and respectful communication from Vacasa. Property had some issues: hot tub did not work, dishwasher does not work, one of the arcade games- did not work. Light was out in the bathroom over the shower.

A lot of attention needs to be taken
We had a lot of small issues with our cabin and they even came and fixed one and said they did another and it still wasn’t fixed so I would not recommend this for anybody else to stay at this property

Nice cabin with a great view
This property is managed by Vacasa, so the communication was a little confusing between the VRBO and Vacasa platforms. The code to unlock the house was unnecessarily long and took a few tries to get right. The house is up a mountain. Mileage wise, it's not far from the Great Smoky National Park and places in Pigeon Forge, but it is a good 30 minute drive to get anywhere from here (even just coffee), and we often needed to allow 50-60 minutes to get to places we thought would be 30 minutes away when booking. The shooting game in the game room didn't work. The mattress cover on the sofa bed was visibly dirty. The lower deck had nails popping up and cut our feet. The thermostat for the lower level was wonky and the air conditioning kept running even though it was at temperature. We actually turned the a/c off and the heat on twice because the downstairs had gotten so cold (down to 62 one morning, when it was set to 70 and it was over 80 outside). I'm being picky, but all these little things added up. Really, it is a nice house, and we enjoyed the pool table, golf game, and air hockey. The kitchen was adequate and the outdoor decks were nice. It was nice to have a washer/dryer and 2 full bathrooms.

Perfect Anniversary Trip
While living and working in outside of a big city, we rarely get a chance for a slow down. This cabin was perfect for a slow down. The cabin is beautiful and the view is breathtaking!! As a photographer, I couldn’t quit taking pics. There were a couple of things that didn’t work, such as the exhaust fan in the master bath, but it didn’t affect our stay at all. Will definitely be staying here again!!

Beautiful cabin with view of mountains. Very nice property grounds with similarly kept cabins. The road to cabin is paved, curvy, steep and offers a white knuckle driving experience, lol. Cabin amenities are plentiful. Hot tub, several arcade games and tables were a great enjoyment after exploring the area each day.

Everything great except hot tub was visibly dirty
Great location, great view, great everything. No essential sundries or grocery items, so definitely bring salt, sugar, spices, etc. if you’ll be cooking. The hot tub had a ring of tub scum & visibly green algae above the water line. When we turned in the aeration jets, brown algae film spurted out into the tub. The tub filter was not in place so I reinstalled it and the filter eventually cleared the water of visible particles of brown algae.

The Preserve Resort is gorgeous! You cannot beat the view, cozy cabin feel, and amenities the whole family can enjoy. Great location and close to Gatlinburg!

A mixed bag
The good things about this property: The view is fantastic. The location is very good. The cabin was clean and spacious. The things that did not go as expected: The fireplace did not work. The Hottub did not work. When I reported these issues Maintenance was sent out the next day. I was told the fireplace is not working because the switch was broken. I was issued a small reimbursement for this. I was told the hottub was now working, however it was not infact working. I was told maintenance reported that the water was circulating and had clsed the work order. I expalined this was not accurate, however the erpson I spoke with at Vacasa stated the 'local team' said the work order was closed. I again explained that this information was not accurate and that, in fact, the hottub jets were not working. My concerns were ignored and no attempt was made to acknowledge or compensate for this. I am not satisfied with our stay at this location due to the fact that the amenities that were advertised were not working. I would not stay at this property nor would I recommend it for others due to the lack of follow up and unsatisfactory resolution of the issue with the hottub.

Beautiful cabin in Wear’s Valley. Close to hiking or tourist attractions. Cabin was fantastic and beautiful mountain top views. Hot tub was a great added feature. Will book again. 😍

Beautiful cabin with beautiful view
The cabin was just as listed. I wish it had specified the location was up very steep curvy mountain roads. I would not have chosen that location had I known. There are a lot of games at the cabin but they are very old. The board games had all literally been ripped in half with half of each board missing and no pieces to play with. The video games and air hockey work at about half capacity. We were not given instruction on how to lock our door when leaving the cabin as well as no instruction on how to leave things when we check out. I had to text the property manager for help a few times during our stay and responses were delayed by hours. In all cases the information was given to late. Over all I will not be staying with vacasa again.

Quiet get away
It was very nice overall. The home was clean and ready. It was quiet and beautiful. We had issues with the door code and no one answers the phone, you have to text with some one. We did get in touch with some one local who was helpful. The hot tub was not clean so we did not get to use it. Other than that we had a good stay.

Broken hot tub and A/C unit
Upon arrival, the area was super cute and the cabin was clean. We quickly realized the upstairs A/C unit and hot tub were broken. At first, communication with vacasa was smooth but as time went on, communication became slow and frustrating. We checked in on a Thursday and they tried sending someone to the cabin at 11pm when I first brought the issue to their attention around 5:00. It was eventually fixed the next day but I received no feedback on the hot tub. We checked out before it was fixed and no one has contacted me back about it, however, I keep receiving auto text messages to leave a review. I kept talking to different people so be aware this is handled by a large property management company and not a homeowner which was very frustrating. Other than that, the house really was cute. There’s limited privacy since it’s a small and close resort. There is a bear on sight which was also cool to see!

Lots of fun with a beautiful view
This property had some amazing views. The games at this cabin were so much fun. There were no darts for the dart board and the pool table definitely needs to be recovered (green top is tearing off and it needs to be leveled), but overall my children and I had a lot of fun here.

Nice cabin but dirty
So overall the cabin was beautiful. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday weekend. We checked out the cabin to see the rooms and the bedroom was filthy and the sheets looked like someone had just jumped out of bed and in the downstairs bathroom dirty towels were everywhere. It was clear it was never cleaned. The hot tub was also filthy and the manager said they won’t clean it because on weekends they have some weird water policy that it can’t be filled. Had I known that I would’ve booked a cabin where I could’ve used the hot tub! Upstairs, the trash was never taken out and in the upstairs bathroom, there was a small trashbag with used tampons in it! Yuck! We had to sleep on the pull out sofa upstairs until they came to clean it the next day. Kim the manager did refund my cleaning fee and my hot tub fee and she handled the situation very professionally. The view was amazing though and had it not been that the place was so dirty, I’d book again! The drive up was a little steep but obviously worth it for the Mountain View!
