Lodge that Borders National Park - Views in all Directions
Welcome to Taj MaY'all!

It is a large luxury lodge perched on 2 acres of private property that borders the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The front of the lodge consists of 522,419 acres belonging the Smoky Mountain National Park, without a house in sight. A National Park trail is easily accessible within 100 feet of the lodge. No need to go anywhere to hike through the mountains! The back of the lodge overlooks the floor of the famous Wears Valley. It is only 10 miles from our driveway to the Parkway in PIGEON FORGE, and about 15 miles to the Parkway in GATLINBURG. LOCATION! LOCATION!

Our entire lodge is custom, with most furniture being hand-carved from reclaimed lumber. It is a perfect place for large gatherings, with plenty of space to entertain! Outdoor living at the lodge is sure to please, with decks on all levels, fire pit, gas grill and hiking trail through the National Park OFF OF OUR PROPERTY! There is a double paved road that leads to our private driveway, with plenty of room to park multiple vehicles. (There are inclines driving up to the lodge). Located in an upscale area with surrounding beauty.

The main level of the lodge boasts a MASSIVE wrap-around deck, with a gas grill, seating, and 2 hammocks to relax in. The living room, kitchen/dining area, and laundry room with washer & dryer are also on the main level. Kitchen has custom cabinets made from native poplar bark. You may have seen the poplar bark materials in several rustic homes featured on HGTV. Huge floor to ceiling stone wood burning fireplace in the living room. This level has 2 large bedrooms with private baths, including a large master suite with a 65" 4K TV, whirlpool tub and separate shower unit with steam accessory.

The second level has 2 large bedrooms, both with TVs and private full bathrooms. One of the bedrooms has a large deck overlooking the National Park.

The lower level of the house has a large bunkroom and two small bedrooms holding 36 queen/full beds, with a shared full bathroom. Adjacent to the bedroom, is a game room/sitting area with a large 52" TV. This level also has a pool table, video games, air hockey, MEDIA ROOM, dry bar, foosball, and opens up to a huge deck area, with hot tub on this level.

We have a "bonus" level called the Tower Room, which is a 3rd floor level. It includes a sitting room with trundle beds for four, surround windows with views all around from the inside, and a stone gas fireplace. It opens up to a large deck with the most amazing views of the Great Smoky Mountains. You are above it all on this level!!!

We love this dream mountain lodge, and hope that you do too! We take pride in providing our guests with a clean and welcoming environment. All you need to do, is relax and enjoy the Great Smoky Mountains and all they have to offer:)

Great location, definitely bears but some issues
The prior reviews of this property are accurate and helpful. The mountaintop location is beautiful with a stunning 360 degree view from the deck. The access and proximity to the NP is a plus. In fact, there is a sign marking the NP boundary off the driveway. The kids loved the game room and theater downstairs. The fire pit was fun at night. There is a sign pointing to the trail in the NP but the trail isn’t maintained and hard to follow. There are two spots in the steep driveway where you can bury a tire due to potholes. Count on visits from the bears - both a plus and a minus. There are several bear proof provisions for the trash which worked well for us. The house has maintenance issues. The en-suite shower in the main floor primary has one side that works well enough to shower. On the other side the faucet just spins. Same with the tub. The toilet rocks. The electrical circuits in the kitchen can be easily overloaded and trip the breaker. It turns off the refrigerator. The ice maker is useless. The lower floor with the most bedrooms has one bathroom to share. There is outside dining but the bear activity make it sketchy to use. Inside dining isn’t enough for a large group to have seats at the tables for everyone. Don’t come needing reliable internet. Maintainance came when we needed them. Overall we enjoyed our stay. If you are flexible enough to adapt and enjoy the beauty of the mountains and nature this is for you.

Smoky mountain daydream
This is one of the most beautiful properties I’ve had the pleasure of staying. Right next to the national park. The drive up is definitely not for the faint hearted, but the property is definitely worth it. Very clean, well stocked, and spacious. The only difficulty was getting all 22 guests through 5 showers in a timely manner. Overall I would recommend this property to anyone looking to explore the smoky mountains.

Family Reunion Trip
Stayed here for 4 nights with a group of 22. Pros, the views from the property were beautiful. The house has plenty of space for big groups. The kitchen is fully stock so don’t worry too much about bringing kitchen items. Access to hiking trails right by the property, Instacart delivery is available and a dollar general about 8 minutes away. Cons, makes sure to arrive during daytime very curvy road for about 4 mins before getting to property. As the temperature drops at night the property gets pretty chilly, bring extra blankets, thermostat never went higher than 68 degrees. Downstairs needs some updating, the theater looks much better on pictures and some mattresses down there need to be replaced. Lastly, the description states 8 rooms how ever the rooms downstairs are literally all one huge room divided with sliding doors, not a big deal but not as much privacy as the rooms upstairs. Overall, the memories made on this trip were beautiful.

Beautiful View
We enjoyed a 4 night stay with 22 family member (9 were children). Overall it was a great time. There were a few things as far as layout that were not as accommodating as we anticipated. Two of the bedrooms are attached to the bunk room and the mattresses in those were in really rough shape. In the end one couple had to sleep on a bunk and us out multiple kids in one bunk bed mattress. The other mattresses were also in need of replacement. The kitchen did have everything we needed, just was smaller than anticipated for our size group. The hot in had a bad sensor and would not get over 99 degrees. Overall a nice stay though!

Wonderful Log House
This house was amazing! We had plenty of room for our family of 22 to celebrate Thanksgiving. The location is perfect, as we hiked several trails that connected to the property. The kids played a lot in the basement area, which made visiting among the adults easier. The kitchen had many appliances and coffee makers…and this family loves their coffee! The only advice I would give to future renters: bears do visit this house. The house is right next to the Smoky Mts NP, the bears’ home. So do not forget to lock all doors (house & cars). Some of us forgot to lock car doors. The kids loved the ‘close encounter’ with a bear. 😑🤗 Overall a wonderful place to spend with family!

Great view of mountains
The best thing about this cabin is the view. The backside faces the park and it's just mountains and trees, no cabins or roads in the view. It is breath-taking and in my opinion, what you are paying for. With a great view, comes an awful drive. There is about a mile from the main road to the cabin and it was traumatizing to us the first time up. If you can, go during the daylight for the first time. There are several sharp curves that have mirrors on the side to see if traffic is coming and there are 3-4 very steep hills, you have to floor it. We arrived at night, big mistake, we missed a couple of turns and had to try to turn around, it was awful. Once we were able to drive during the daylight, it made it a much better experience. There is no house number by the driveway, just a sign that says Taj Ma Y'all but you can't see that in the dark. The cabin itself is nice. We went with over 20 people and had plenty of room to sleep and spread out. The kids enjoyed all of the games in the basement and the hot tub. The firepit area was very cool too. I would suggest bringing extra towels and wash clothes if you don't want to do laundry. I would also suggest bringing extra blankets, our bed had a thin sheet and it was pretty cool at night.

My wife and I, along with a few of our friends stayed here for 4 days. First impression was WOW. Before going in, the view will amaze you. Inside is as beautiful, it has the honey feeling. The master bed were huge, the bed are cloud like feeling. I lay down and fall asleep sleep right away :) We truly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. I couldn't have picked a better place than this for all of us! We thank you again for this! Everything is perfect. Home away from home!
Cleanliness goes a long way with me as I am a germaphobe & I felt the entire home was very well kept. The bathrooms were clean, supplied with new products and marked with sanitation strips. Ryan was our point of contact and he replied promptly with any questions I had. I could not rave about our stay enough!! This cabin is equipped with just about everything from a fully functional kitchen to a pack and play for the littles. Would highly recommend and stay there again. My 4 star for online accuracy comes from the basement bedrooms. There are two smaller rooms with queen size beds that can only be accessed through the bunk room. This made for some last minute scrambling as we went with multiple families and wanted everyone to be comfortable. Other than that the rooms were adorable but the layout was a smidge different than what we anticipated.
