This newly renovated getaway set atop beautiful English Mountain offers all of the comforts of home in one of the most peaceful locations in the Smoky Mountains. Sharing the verdant setting with a small community (and a few bears) in the forests of East Tennessee, you will be free from interruptions during your stay. Once you arrive you can relax and enjoy the view of the mountains from a balcony set among giant magnolia trees or stay inside and cozy up to the wood-burning fireplace. If you'd rather not leave, a fully stocked kitchen makes it easy to enjoy your meals in comfort as you settle into a restful vacation. Televisions and board games in the common areas and wifi throughout provide entertainment for all. And all of our guest have access to the pool, sauna, game room, kids play area, and workout room just a short walk from the front door. The bathroom has been completely remodeled and is perfect for long showers. The condo is also equipped with a washer and dryer for washing muddy hiking clothes, bathing suits, or preparing for going out. The location is just a short drive to Forbidden Caverns, antique shops, and Douglas Lake. If you choose to go further, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, or Great Smoky Mountain National Park are all within a 35 - 45 minute drive.
Whether you are searching for fall colors, wildlife, your next adventure, or undisturbed peace and quiet, you will find everything you are looking for here on English Mountain.

A few things to mention:
*It takes two flights of stairs to get to this unit. The condo is located on the top floor.
*The upstairs loft area is only about 6 feet tall at the ceiling's peak. It gets shorter as the ceiling angles down.
*We are at the top of a mountain. Depending on which way you are coming from, the last 4.5 miles leading up to the community has curvy parts and switchbacks. If there is inclement weather, it may be hard to get there without a 4 wheel drive. There is an alternate route that is less windy if you go towards Newport, TN and take I-40 to TN-32 S/US-321 S. And map our location from New Port.

Almost perfect
The unit was immaculate, clean and beautiful. The drive to the unit was not for the faint of heart, especially at night time. Very thin walls and we can hear the neighbor’s conversation clearly. We were awaken by barking dog every morning. And it barked non stop. The condo was adjacent to the English Mountain Recovery Center and they kept their bright lights on all night. We came to the mountain to get away from the city and did not expect to see artificial lights so high in the mountain.

Quiet Mountain Retreat
Beautiful condo with everything needed for a long term stay. We loved being able to cook our own meals and avoid the chaos of Gatlinburg. The condo was clean, comfortable and the amenities were top notch. The beauiful woods around the property were an added bonus. We easily accessed multiple GSMNP trailheads all within 30 minutes to an hour.

Great Family Vacation
The condo was exactly as pictured online. Everything was provided for us. If I had a silly question, she answered it within 30 minutes (during the Thanksgiving holiday). It was a wonderful experience overall. My only advice is to make sure you have a SUV or a car with front wheel drive to get up and down the mountain. Rent the condo. You won’t regret it!
