Extensively renovated, offering 4 bedrooms, three double bed bedrooms and 1 bedroom with two singles. Two bathrooms. Views from each room of countryside or garden. The house ideally suits 8 guests. There are two bathrooms. Strictly house guests only. High ceilings, modern laundry appliances, designated study, spacious living, open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area. The kitchen has stone bench tops, dishwasher and Bosch appliances. Basic provisions provided along with herb garden. Ducted RC/AC, ceiling fans, 2 BBQ,s and Nespresso coffee machine. Elevated front balcony view and spectacular outdoor entertaining area. Extensive gardens and lawn surrounding the home are beautiful all year round. The outdoor entertaining under the huge Golden elm alongside the vineyard is a fantastic setting for lunch or dinner. Table tennis table in the shearing shed with record player and old classics on vinyl. Woodlands has vineyards and bush walking trail on the property. 40 acres of vineyard and big gums, Woodlands is both very private and scenic. Space for exploring in the woodlands, and BBQ picnic area. A real country getaway with distant valley views from the rise. Located in the Skillogalee Valley, a scenic area approx 800 metres walk from the Sevenhill Hotel, Little Red Grape café for breakfast or light lunch. Watervale General Store highly recommend for breakfast/coffee. Olive bus is unique, coffee and brunch. Cellar doors including Skiliogalee, Eldredge, Kilikanoon, Mitchell's, Sevenhill Cellars, Shut the Gate and Jeaneret are within 1-4 km. A trail and cycle riding mecca from the front gate in the one of the most beautiful parts of the Clare Valley. Hughes Park road is up there with prettiest part of Clare Valley. Riesling trail approx 1 .4km from property. The Clare Valley wilderness trail is approximately 400m from front gate to cross country walk over scenic hills and pristine properties.
Pets(not indoor) and long term rates negotiable.
Woodlands is private setting, offering secluded space and set amongst vineyard, spacious gardens and lawn. Cottage on floor plan is not rented out to guests or part of package. Strictly booked guests only, so if the booking is for 8 people - that should be the only guests that come onto the property. Please do not invite extras to stay or join you over the stay. If your needs are for bigger celebrations - weddings, hens party's, birthday party's, long lunches for extra people - please contact us re your needs and we can help suggest places for those events to be held in the local area. Vineyard walking and camp fire with bbq plate winter use is located in the woodlot.

Wonderful stay
We had a great stay at Woodlands. David and Heather were most welcoming. We enjoyed looking out at the vineyards and the kids enjoyed feeding Harry the horse.

Great stay in the Clare Valley
We stayed at Woodlands with friends for a long weekend to visit the Clare valley for the first time. The house was a perfect venue for this, everything is as described and it was very comfortable for this purrpose as so well situated - and we loved the grounds and gardens!

STUNNING
The property is so beautiful and has absolutely everything you could need whether you're on a group trip, travelling with kids, a romantic, weekend - they have literally thought of everything! The old shearing shed with record player is awesome for some relaxed fun, and the house itself is perfect for a more sophisticated area to spend your time. The garden is gorgeous and the location to the Clare Valley is excellent. Cannot recommend highly enough and I am so grateful to have been able to stay here.

Perfect place for a girls weekend
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at David’s property. The house is surrounded by beautiful vineyards and fields with grazing sheep which made a perfect setting for a weekend away with friends. The additional complementary bottle of wine was a lovely touch. We would not hesitate to book another stay at this place.

Great girl’s weekend
Woodlands is a lovely house in the vineyards just near Sevenhill. We were a group of school friends who now live interstate and have yearly get togethers. The beds were very comfy, full kitchen, open fire and lots of room. We would highly recommend this house to stay in on your holiday!

Woodlands was the perfect spot to base our Clare wanderings. Almost too good as we wanted to stay and enjoy the house and surrounding grounds rather than venture out. We are already planning another stay with more time spent at the property and hope to give the vinyl a proper workout!

Wonderful weekend
Perfect place for a friends get together, close to wineries, restaurants, cafes, Riesling Trail. We did them all! The house is great - spacious, kitchen with all you need, comfortable bedrooms. The lovely outdoor is excellent for afternoon drinks ( a bit chilly for a swim for us but would be great in warmer weather!). Liaising with the owners was easy. Would highly recommend.

Relax with the Famiky
We spent a relaxing few days, eating out at fantastic restaurants and drinking wines, all located conveniently close to Woodlands. The swimming pool was a hit with the kids and the kangaroos in the paddock were beautiful to see. Hosts were friendly and keen to see us have a great time. A beautiful house and a wonderful holiday. Perfect accommodation for our family group, staying in the region to attend a wedding. The property is beautifully presented, comfortable and has everything you need. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need including nice wine glasses - something that is often missing in other luxury accommodation! The grounds are beautiful and the pool sparkling clean. We hope to bring our family group here again soon.

Wonderful place especially for young children.
Our group of 4 adults ( parents and grandparents) and 2 young ones of 11 mths and nearly 4 years embraced our stay. Harry,the horse and the surrounding sheep and cows indeed made it a farm stay. Harry delighted our grandkids! The pool was a feature we used , although a little cold. The home was very comfortable, clean with good amenities....loved the outdoors sitting area...an ideal home and getaway for our purposes.

Lovely part of the world. We had a great time listening to vinyl around the fire pit. The bicycles were a special surprise and the back country roads a delight. September is a gorgeous time to visit. Communication on the price was problematic but that could have been us not reading the fine print.

Interstate family meet up
This is a lovely property that presents exactly as described. It was a central spot to meet up with our family from 3 different states over a sunny warm Easter break. We constantly used the lovely pool area, games area in the shearing shed and every evening meal was out at the large table under the beautiful shady trees next to the vines, Each bedroom is large and comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped and stocked. We all commented how wonderful it is to have extra cutlery, wine glasses, plates etc not just the number per guest This home is in a fabulous location to walk to eating, gin and wine tasting places and a short drive to scenic bush walks. We did it all. It absolutely represents value. Thankyou for a wonderful stay.

Breach of privacy
The house was beautiful and very spacious. However the owners had multiple cameras around property and was watching our comings and goings which made us all feel extremely uncomfortable and breached our privacy. There were also millipedes inside and outside of the house.

Exceptional home, scenery beyond postcards and great character.
A beautiful home with not only a designer kitchen, but it was so well stocked with everything you could want. The owners truly get the value of providing access to those amenities that allow you to cook, relax and feel truly pampered. The "shearing shed" outfitted with a ping pong table, and a nostalgic reminder of music and records was an unexpected treat. The yards are beautiful, the access to Clare easy and the great little bakery shop at the end of the street (The Red Grape) was everything you could hope for in terms of quality and ambience. Also great access to a number of Cellardoors - which we discovered was the local term for wineries - where everyone we met was kind, generous with their time and strong contributors to our enjoyment of the location. Would return in a heartbeat. L

Host said they’d communicate details about the house later. However I had to message the host about keys. A bit of confusion about the keys. They said keys would be in the kitchen. I thought That the house was locked how can you access the keys?! The house was actually unlocked a bit concerning. The house was not locked and secure which was concerning.I also asked about what type of heating was there in the house as the photos did not show everything. This question went unanswered. I assumed that host assumed all information would be found on website so therefore didn’t answer.

Peaceful and spacious
A beautiful and peaceful rural property overlooking vines and sheep. Wonderfully equipped modern kitchen. Very warm with great ducted heating for a winter stay. Lots of space for all the family or you could easily have 3 couples stay here.
