"This is a beautiful old property, full of lovely artwork and charm, a real home. There is a lot of wildlife to enjoy. We had a lovely time staying here. It is well equipped Loads of books and dvds if staying in. We had a fair amount of wet weather unfortunately but was ok. We loved visiting Pescia, Lucca and Montecatino whilst we were there, all in easy driving distance. "The house is an absolutely stunning location. Breath taking views every morning, even if the weather did always play ball. There are some lovely areas to walk in and explore nearby and a few very nice local restaurants but these can get booked up very quickly. Even when it was raining we enjoyed our stay as the dense forests provided plenty of cover and there are excellent trips to caves and nearby cities such as Lucca and Barga that are easy drives. "The location was perfect. We fell in love with Castiglione de Garfagnana and the view from our accommodation was spectacular. We also loved the sounds of the church and cow bells! "This place is amazing. Second time back here and just as good as the first time around - no better place in the Bologna area for a relax - and the bioorganic pond is a dream. The wine is also divine and well priced. The only thing they could improve on is ensuring there is always a table at the restaurant for any guests as if the guests don’t actively book a table, then it’s unlikely you’ll get a table on walking in at this popular spot - very busy!"
