"We have stayed here before and knew it was just about ok for an overnight stop, however our previous visits had been earlier in the year. On this occasion in July it was much warmer and the in room AC was almost pointless, barely any flow even on maximum and it did very little to cool the room. The room and building are showing their age and are shabby round the edges."

"Great location and quiet for this town. Easy parking and comfortable rooms. There needs a bit of work to clean up patio area, shabby furniture left randomly, unused unkempt barbecue, dog mess from hotel dog on lawn…but all could be easily addressed. Pool area open to children until 10pm so can be noisy until then and seems unnecessarily late! gym equipment limited and cramped. Overall would recommend though."

Situated close to the railway station, the town centre and the old medieval town which is worth a stroll round. "We enjoyed our stay here -- it's a nice house with a great view, and we appreciated being able to use it as a base for exploring this part of the country. We had no concerns at all -- everything about the property was exactly as described. The remoteness is part of the appeal -- though it does mean that it's not easy to pop out to a shop for something you might have missed/forgotten. With good planning, it's a really appealing place."
