The grounds are kept amazing. The gardens, pool and garden furniture are in great condition. However the villa is let down by the interior. It's showing its age and in need of some investment, walls are marked, curtains could do with a clean and bedding updated. The main let down for us was the villa house keepers, they are wonderful and friendly however i feel like they are doing the bare minimum. They start at 9am, which for us was too late to get breakfast out for the children, it felt more like brunch. Cleaning initially looks ok but it is isn't, its dirty and the two villa ladies would rather sleep or rest on the deck than clean.! It seemed that once the bedrooms were serviced and the deck swept there was at least 4 hours of resting. I wish i could goto work and spend most of the time on a break.!!
The house has a problem with large ants. In the evening they invade in the evening, i understand we are in the tropics and expect bugs but this was too much. Other villas fog their property a couple times a month but i doubt this one does, there are such large gaps around the door frames i doubt it would help. I brought a large can of bug spray and would give the house a spray each evening. All the mosquito nets have holes in. The TV didn't work the whole time (6 nights), the cable didn't work at all and never got fixed, the tv remote batteries were flat anyway.
As a whole, the outside staff were wonderful and hard working, gardeners and security but let down by inside.
