The Gunung Paradis Retreat is a fully walled area partly located on a hilltop (210 meters above sea level), in a strategic area between Lovina and Munduk as a famous tourist area in North Bali. Munduk is a mountainous trekking area, and Lovina is a cozy little beach village on the shore of the Bali sea. A wonderful place where you can find the mountain and the beach in one eye catches.
The Gunung Paradis Retreat consists of two villas called Villa Cempaka and Villa Jepun that reside on the top of a hill with spectacular views of the Bali sea, rice fields-covered hills, and the beautiful Mayong-Munduk valley. It is a good place for family reunions, group gatherings, and it is perfect enough to celebrate a wedding or birthday party.
From the hilltop, Villa Cempaka is built with a beautiful panoramic view of the Bali Sea, sloping hills with rice fields, and one of the two highest mountains of Bali in the background (Batukaru, 2.276 meters). Villa Cempaka has a total of 5 bedrooms, a kitchen, dining area, and living room.
Besides the Villa Cempaka, the compound comprises a guesthouse as Villa Jepun which has 3 bedrooms, a small kitchen, its own dining area, and facing the mango shaped swimming pool, and a staff- annexes service building. A children’s playground and a parking lot complete the facilities. For the total of 8 bedrooms and two extra bed, this luxury retreat comfortably accommodates couples, families, and groups of up to 18 people.
The two villas (Villa Cempaka and Villa Jepun) are surrounded by a well-kept, lush park-sized tropical garden. The name Gunung Paradis (Paradise Mountain) is given by the first guests in 2007 who, after entering the main gate, sighed in admiration, “this is paradise.”
The building style in which Gunung Paradis is designed is best defined as Classic Colonial, and the villas look like little palaces. The villas are richly decorated with paras palimanan stone-carved elements and a lot of wood carving. Roof edge, doors, and windows are of genuine teakwood and, appropriately, wood carved according to Balinese carving tradition. The estate is built with love for Balinese culture, an eye for detail, and high-quality standards in mind. The best materials that were available were applied.
The entrance is impressive, with a lotus pond and fountain just before one enters the compound through an impressive traditional Balinese gate.
There are three unique points of this luxury estate: Strategic location in the heart of North Bali with short distance to the main attraction areas such as Munduk, Lovina, Singaraja/Sambangan, and Pemuteran area. And then the energizing atmosphere of the serene compound, the beautiful Balinese style shaped villas, the high quality of construction and finishing of the villa’s, the breathtaking view from villa Cempaka towards the Bali Sea to hillside rice fields and the Mayong-Munduk valley, the astonishing landscaping of the garden and the last but not least is the self-supplied most transparent mountain spring water from 125 meters deep.
