A gang of Sanderlings heading out towards the water to pluck tasty treats. I chased this group down the spit on the way back from the lighthouse for about a half-mile. Chase is kind of a misnomer here. I was taking some big strides to finish the walk before the park closed at sunset, and they just happened to go along for the ride.

"Although an older building, it was quite clean. It was quiet and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was really good, try the muffins! The staff was wonderful. Our door lock broke, they tried to fix it quickly but were unable to so they were able to move us to another room easily enough."
