Chalet on Chemong is the perfect balance of a traditional cottage on a tree lined lane, with all the comforts of home that most of us rely on. Nestled between the popular Kawartha towns of Buckhorn and Lakefield, this Ontario cottage offers plenty to enjoy at the cottage on Chemong Lake and is a short drive to explore local shops, restaurants and trails!
The main cottage boosts a large central dining room for enjoying your meals and game nights together. You'll then venture through the large kitchen with a centre island that is perfect for preparing meals and chatting while snacking and enjoying a cool drink. The kitchen truly is the heart of this cottage, with entrances to the 3 interior bedrooms and the family room all accessible from this space. The family room over looking the lake, features plenty of seating for gathering together for movie watching and visiting.
The primary suite features a dressing room and 2-piece ensuite bath. There are two additional bedrooms, each with 2 twin beds. For a second suite just steps across the deck is a completely private bunkie with another queen bed, seating and your own fireplace. It’s a wonderful space for anyone seeking a quiet space, ideal for grandparents joining young families at the lake!
Outside you’ll enjoy a large deck spanning the width of the property for outdoor dining and taking in the gorgeous lake view. Stepping off the deck to your right is a beautiful stone firepit with Muskoka chairs and a lawn to the left for lawn games. The large dock has steps down into the water, perfect for guests of all abilities to easily get into and out of the water.
Chemong Lake is part of the Trent Severn waterway, which boating enthusiasts will love! If you’re bringing a boat along, be sure to take a trip to the locks in Buckhorn or over to Bobcaygeon for a waterside meal or treat!
Chalet on Chemong is a wonderful family escape at anytime of year.
